I need someone to help me out here. I'm getting rid of certain types of music and videos games. Well I put a simple post on Facebook of saying that. I get a response on saying that I'm being self righteous, and that I'm doing things through works and that I'm being a snobbish church type. And this is from a fellow believer. The reason why I'm doing this is to grow closer to the Lord by getting rid of some of this junk in my life. Could someone please help me out here as to why she is saying this

Why is god killing so many people, presently, in Africa? Why is jesus NOT helping to feed the poor? According to his alleged special book, jesus was for the Poor, and for Children, but he isn't doing anything for them in Africa. Why is that? Every Sunday during football season, we are told that jesus intervenes to decide the victor of every game. Why is jesus not intervening to save the lives of Africans? @lou4491 Really this is about cruelty that happens to most animals that are used for food in the US. Would God approve of animal cruelty that is depicted on my channel 'Farm to Fridge'? No sin can stand in His presence. Thank God He gave us His Word to show us what sin is. Thank God for showing us in His Word that it is Christ's righteousness that makes our prayers heard. Praise the Lord for teaching us in His Word that we are to study His Word, pray to God and spread His Word. All this to stand in His presnece forever.

right now i am making a path for myself to walk in the shadows of Jesus i read my bible i pray everytime a trouble comes along or something is bothering me or just to let the lord know im glad to live everyday for him, i know im safe in gods hand cause he is my lifetime insurance policy and a wonderful dad to me, there is no one else that can compare to the works he has done for me, and i have helped him i changed a regular rock station into christian rock.
I'm losing faith everyday, little by little. I'm battling a disease that no one, not even I see as a disease: Depression. I battle it everyday, and I hate the thought of living with this for the rest of my life. Some days I want to give up, but I know I can't leave my fiance nor my daughter. If only I had Christ again, would I be fine. But he's yet to be found. However, I have hope... this little hope that He's still there, and that in the end it will be ok. I"ll survive this.
You will never be able to fight this by your own efforts.
The LORD is your deliverer. Focus on Jesus, spend time with him daily by prayer and reading in His Word. Seek him and you will find him. Cry out to him He will hear you and comfort you, have patience.

I lost everything and was as hollow as straw and shattered as broken glass. I tell you now that Jesus saved my life, He will save yours as well. He weeps at the pain you go through, the Father reaches towards you always to wipe away your tears. He loves you more than anything, He will carry you my friend
@ChristianWarrior13 I am still going through depression, and severe Panic disorder, and I guess my faith is not as strong as it once was. My heart says one thing, and my mind another. I guess I don't understand why God lets us go through these kinds of trials! I have had the panic, and depression for over 12 years now, and it's going nowhere fast. Did you have any particular verses in the bible that helped you through it all?

I just got back from a christian camp and i had Jesus in my heart i believed in god but i never prayed i never read the bible... and after i got back i learned lots more about them both and now i pray 7-13 times a day i stop listing to songs that curse and stuff like that hanging with bad people and now i pray read my bible and i know now that Jesus has a spot for me in heaven waiting for me and i get to know him better

@jesuslover50 Truthfully, it is more "how we treat people" that Our Father is concerned about. Sometimes the "cursing" in music is just what we need to let our anger out so that we do not act on it but songs which denigrate women and condone treating them badly obviously are not pleasing to Him. As far as praying, just keep the channel open, like a radio station, so that there is communication rather than formal prayers which are impersonal. Speak the bible, that is where your power lies.

You cant get rid of those things by your self, you got to give it up to God. Jesus died to take away all those things away from you, so stop trying to take care of it on your own. Sometimes it's hard and there are so many temptations out there, but God will give you strength to overcome them, Im 15 as well and i'll be praying 4 u.

I need someone to help me out here. I'm getting rid of certain types of music and videos games. Well I put a simple post on Facebook of saying that. I get a response on saying that I'm being self righteous, and that I'm doing things through works and that I'm being a snobbish church type. And this is from a fellow believer. No sin can stand in His presence. Thank God He gave us His Word to show us what sin is. Thank God for showing us in His Word that it is Christ's righteousness that makes our prayers heard. Praise the Lord for teaching us in His Word that we are to study His Word, pray to God and spread His Word. All this to stand in His presnece forever.

right now i am making a path for myself to walk in the shadows of Jesus i read my bible i pray everytime a trouble comes along or something is bothering me or just to let the lord know im glad to live everyday for him, i know im safe in gods hand cause he is my lifetime insurance policy and a wonderful dad to me, there is no one else that can compare to the works he has done for me, and i have helped him i changed a regular rock station into christian rock.

I'm losing faith everyday, little by little. I'm battling a disease that no one, not even I see as a disease: Depression. I battle it everyday, and I hate the thought of living with this for the rest of my life. Some days I want to give up, but I know I can't leave my fiance nor my daughter. If only I had Christ again, would I be fine. But he's yet to be found. However, I have hope... this little hope that He's still there, and that in the end it will be ok. I"ll survive this.

@ShaolynRose my brother or sister, do not give up on christ he has not giving up on you, stay strong in him and pray i know for a fact he is still there he helped me threw asthmatic bronchitics, i had RSV he helped me threw that, i got really bad sick one time he helped me threw that, even threw rough times he has helped me. please do not give up on him, he can help just trust in him and hang in there it will be ok keep faith in him and all things are possible.

@ShaolynRose I hope you read this. I suffered from depression and anxiety for over a year. I though about killing myself so many times. I lost everything and was as hollow as straw and shattered as broken glass. I tell you now that Jesus saved my life, He will save yours as well. He weeps at the pain you go through, the Father reaches towards you always to wipe away your tears. He loves you more than anything, He will carry you my friend

@ChristianWarrior13 I am still going through depression, and severe Panic disorder, and I guess my faith is not as strong as it once was. My heart says one thing, and my mind another. I guess I don't understand why God lets us go through these kinds of trials! I have had the panic, and depression for over 12 years now, and it's going nowhere fast. Did you have any particular verses in the bible that helped you through it all?

@twilightmommy75 I'm so sorry, your pain must be great. As for why He puts us through terrible trials. Malachi 3:3. To purify silver you must place it in the hottest part of the flame, carefully watch it the entire time, and you know its finished when you can see your image in it. God uses turmoil to remove our own imperfections and us make us perfect reflections of His Glory and Love.But Matthew 9:22 will show you the way to conquer your depression. God Bless you

His word will accomplish that for which it was intended. Soldier, pick up your sword and learn to use it! This is your training, your boot camp! Sleep with your weapon, come to know it inside & out. YOU have the power, just like in sword in the stone. Pick it up!

I just got back from a christian camp and i had Jesus in my heart i believed in god but i never prayed i never read the bible... and after i got back i learned lots more about them both and now i pray 7-13 times a day i stop listing to songs that curse and stuff like that hanging with bad people and now i pray read my bible and i know now that Jesus has a spot for me in heaven waiting for me and i get to know him better

@jesuslover50 Truthfully, it is more "how we treat people" that Our Father is concerned about. Sometimes the "cursing" in music is just what we need to let our anger out so that we do not act on it but songs which denigrate women and condone treating them badly obviously are not pleasing to Him. As far as praying, just keep the channel open, like a radio station, so that there is communication rather than formal prayers which are impersonal. Speak the bible, that is where your power lies.

i love god i want to be close as i possibly can.... i'm only 15.. and i feel happy and joyful and loved when i think about him and pray and praise him.. but../i have addicting temptions that i want to shake off.. but its reallly hard.. and i cry everytime.. i fail to resist my temptations, cause i want to folo the lord my god and to be with him always so i ask for any advise and scriptures that can help me.. from anyone..

You cant get rid of those things by your self, you got to give it up to God. Jesus died to take away all those things away from you, so stop trying to take care of it on your own. Turn to him with everything you do and he will make your paths straight. Pray and read the Bible, thats the best place in the world to get advise from. Sometimes it's hard and there are so many temptations out there, but God will give you strength to overcome them, Im 15 as well and i'll be praying 4 u.

If one can read the Bible as a gathering of parables and stories, written in symbolism and metaphor, it is not hard to tell that the word 'Sober' does not refer to sobriety. Being sober is a metaphorical reference to patience, stillness. To 'watch' is to observe. Beyond that, there is no need to judge one another for your understanding of the Bible. This is how you're supposed to learn, by sharing your thoughts and learning the thoughts of others. God is your guide. Correct? Let Him be the Judge
