The reason why there are so many Muslim Albanians today is because the Church failed them. Roman archbishops in Albania feuded with each other over control and power and completely ignored the population. Albanians lacked leadership from the church, therefore the opportunist Ottoman Empire used this chance and converted the majority of population to Muslim. Romans and Ottomans used religion to sway Albanian support. On that note I can freely say that majority of Albanians don't care...

@ChildOfTheEmperor KLA is a product of Serbia's oppression. Due to high unemployment many Albanians sought work in the neighboring countries. Many of them migrated to Swiss and Germany. Most of them worked hard and provided for their families back in Kosovo, while some turned to organized crime. The increase in crime rate was creating instability in Western Europe. @ChildOfTheEmperor I know that during Milosevic regime Albanians in Kosovo were denied of any form of social service, healthcare, education, employment etc. By the late 80's most of Albanians were expelled from their jobs. They were replaced by Bosnian Serb refugees and other Serbs moving in Kosovo. Going back to previous comment, not that Milosevic was presenting immigration problems to the West but he was also not complying with many economic policies...
