  • @syrinx9 Normally I'd agree, but given this particular song cycle by Messiaen (as opposed to Chants de terre et de ciel and Poemes pour mi), I've found that a more vulgar (in the Roman sense), intimate interpretation heightens the experience and surprisingly does not detract from the content.
