  • I was in the studio the day this song Ode to billy joe was recorded by bobbie gentry. in hollywood california . pacific challenger records (chuck whittington) then moved to anaheim,ca. bobbie stole the master and took it to capital records . it took my late friend chuck 8 years to settle the law suit.this is another part of unknown country music history. jerry,bastrop la.
