Gosh, I've got a lovely small plant sitting on my desk at work in a bowl of water. I just saw these "cute" little guys tossing and turning around in there. I was SOOOOOO hoping that they'd turn out to be krill or some other relatively benign creature that I could enjoy watching every time I needed a break.
Well, no such luck... Time to add a few drops of RAID to that water!!
yours look different than mine. It looks like yours are longer with smaller heads...strange! Nice video, great framing/capture of these little specimen!
Spotted these in Tempe, AZ in my roses runoff dish. Killed all of them well before any could change into mosquitos, they were probably laid there by the ones that grow in that damned Tempe Town Lake - not to mention all the abandoned pools in vacant homes owned by greedy speculators and the foreclosure agents who shut them down.
I moved to the desert for a reason; there should not be ANY of these here, just spiders and scorpions, etc. Too bad we can't spray mineral oil like a century ago.
