Norchard. Their isn't a shed as such. There is a restoration/overhaul shed where locos, wagons, coaches are repairs and overhauled. The operational engines are kept outside this.
Well, a railroad was being torn up, and a group bought about three miles of track, and had an original steam loco still lying around, there was no shed and they ran and stored her outside, as it happened people broke in and stole pieces off the locomotive when she was down, and she couldn't run, and the elements were not kind to her. Then they bought another loco, and the same thing happened.
Ah this won't happen to the DFR because they are stored right outside a shed and Norchard station is in the middle of nowhere lol! They are also planning to build shelter for operational engines.
I can't help it that 9681 is currently out of service. Next year will be way better, 9681 will be back from repairs and 5541 should be back from overhaul!
cool video there i cross the dfr's tracks twice a year going to and from camp unfortunately ain't stopped for naught throught all my camps (shame) but anyway the 14xx's and the GWR are awsome they're my favourite company just beware of youtubers by the name of dgsf123 and 7fishface they're so jippy of the GWR thinking the lms and black5s are all it (they all lie GWR all the way)

It says in the Forest Venture (the railways mag) that the auto gear refitting should be taking place soon, but repainting it and other things, all outside will take a long time, so next year, but hey, they still got 178. Come up on a Vintage & Heritage Day, 1450 + 178 and the Saloon with the DMU!

There was a railroad here that did that, all three of there steam locomotives can't run anymore. Makes me worry about the DFR.

oh and did you know this was one of two 14xx loco's used in the filming of the titfield thunderbolt, the real 1401 was sadly scrapped

1401 is facing one way along the railway line
1450, with identical paintwork and number plates is facing the other way along the railway line, the third is the one on the turntable
