hey i just setup my brackish tank and i was recommened to use crushed coral as a substrate and my water is all murky so can i just wait and it will become clear or should i switch substrate
I have 2 pair of coralife mariner lights. It gives them their true colors. For the filtration you can use anything from hang on or overflow filters. Hang on's too much work so i used overflow set up and plus it filters great. Right now i have mangroves plants on my bottom tank as an additional bio filters, they are superb. Use base and live rocks if you're going for brackish or just use crush corals as subtrates. if you want crystal clear water use a uv sterilizer or mangrove plants.

Nice tank. Are dragon gobies ok in water that deep? Mudskippers?
Greeneyez2475 2 years ago
gobies yes, but not muddies. mudskippers need to be able to get onto land. they cant just be in water.
