  • Pollock fully realized his intention of expressing the metaphysical in his work. His purpose was to use his painting as an expression of self, to fully show the existentialist and Jungian beliefs he held.

  • The power of the line is manifest in Pollock's work. Notice the use of discontinuity. The process of composition of objects on glass near the end of the film is amazing. I've seen this film several times over the years. Viewing it again today, I find it a moving experience. Emotions of freedom and sadness.

  • I read ( if its accurate)the filming so taxed Pollack over this footage, he returned to drinking and never quit .Great footage.

  • great, thanks for posting!!

  • Thank you for posting this video! Very helpful for my research paper :)

Pollock is a pure genius, this video makes me love his work even more. The way he just tosses the paint on the canvas... beautiful. Too bad the making of this movie threw him into a funk for the rest of his life... the piece that he creates in the movie, Number 27, is fantastic.

  • Great to finally see this after reading so much about it. Thanks!
