It's actually even easier to do this, now. All you need is a constant value number chip set to 1 and wired to "dial mode", a constant value string chip with the address of the next gate in the bridge and wired to "dial string" and active on the first gate in the chain wired to "begin string dial". 'Course, there may be a way to do it with one chip, but I find this to be a rather easy method.
That's quite good. At first I thought i would be loads of gates that you needed to dial separately. You must have taken a while to make the expression chip.
Though I can't think of any situation you could use it though. In the series they did it to get to another galaxy easily, there are no other galaxies in Gmod.
I find that it's actually useful as a "item" filter.
I discovered early on after making it that if you throw any item other then another player into the gate bridge you are pretty much gaurentied to crash Gmod, or if your online an entire server.
The system only allows for something the width of the gap between the "gate pairs" to actually integrate, and if it tries to transport an object larger than that it encounters a fatal calculation error.
thats cool.. i have a problem, i can spawn the gates and it can dial with a dhd but fails to dialout in the end but i cant create the addresses and the iris/shield doesnt work either. am i missing something?

It should be here X:\program files\steam\steamapps\$username$\garrysmod\garrysmod
X standing for your dive letter and $username$ for your steam username.
If there is a info.txt file you should put it into the addons folder
