I went to nfl.com and sent them an email under contact us and asked if they would please consider not renewing the exclusivity deal with ea so that we can have more than 1 choice for a football game each year. If enough ppl do this you never know what could happen.

Madden still doesn't have the goal line dive. There has not been a single time that I've seen the goal-line dive/leap in Madden where he couldn't have just waltzed in anyway. Any time there's someone there, and the runner leaps, they knock his ass backwards. Madden is not organic at all and everything is predetermined, which is why it sucks.
there isn't....EA owns the NFL rights through 2012 I think. They bought them in 2006 for five years, but I don't know if they've renewed their contract or extended it since.
2k5 is. so i would reccomend getting the xbox since their graphics are pretty decent and wayy better than ps2. and all the rosters are updated like the players age and their uniforms to their contracts. the coaches are updated one thing idk is about the uniforms because of jacksonvilles new uniform. but its worth it trust me.

Its simple, look what happened to NBA Live. It sucks and NBA 2K is killing it. Play NBA Live 09 for about the 9 minutes you could tolerate it and then play NBA 2K9 and enjoy playing a real game. We should all be honest though, if 2K had the Exclusive NFL License, ESPN NFL 2K9 would suck because they have no competition. Don't believe me, look what happened to 2K's MLB 2K9. Actually there is a sack avoidance control for quaterbacks in this games. it is with the analog stick I believe. Was that the biggest problem you saw in the game??? Kind of nit picking but its your right. Trust me there is far worse in the madden series. Like the complete absense of football physics. It is obviously possible since it was dun back in 04 with 2k5 football, so why doesnt EA have the will to do it, or maybe they just have no clue how to immitate it for 2k5.

What made 2k5 the best football game ever was the developers attention to detail. Little touches like showing crowd reactions, end zone celebrations, and the halftime/end of game shows to go with the more innovative first person football, the crib, and weekly preperation drills will always give this game the edge over any football game EA brings out.
Madden 2010 will NEVER be better than NFL 2K5... The people at 2K sports have already done what ea sports is trying to do now.. so, don't think that Madden 10,11 or 12 is going to be better because its not... EA Sports must start from scratch and rebuild that whole game..

I own Madden 09. & I just recently found my copy of ESPN NFL 2K5. & I'm honestly never going to play Madden again for a long time unless it's head to head against one of my friend's who can't play 2K5 because they don't have a backwards compatible PS3.
2K5 was seriously a great game. Why do you think EA Sports monopolized the NFL licensing? Because even EA knows it's a better game. But for some unknown reason, they won't fix the problems with Madden, instead selling us the same crap every year.

Its simple, look what happened to NBA Live. It sucks and NBA 2K is killing it. Play NBA Live 09 for about the 9 minutes you could tolerate it and then play NBA 2K9 and enjoy playing a real game. We should all be honest though, if 2K had the Exclusive NFL License, ESPN NFL 2K9 would suck because they have no competition. Don't believe me, look what happened to 2K's MLB 2K9. They have the MLB third party exclusive license and the MLB 2K series sucks. 2K Sports>EA Sports

since theres no way EA will give up NFL license (or vica versa) i'd love to see 2K come back with a NCAA game. Hopefully sales tank for ncaa 2010 this year and make the NCAA consider having no exclusivity giving 2k the chance. 2K college football would be HUGE.

Actually there is a sack avoidance control for quaterbacks in this games. it is with the analog stick I believe. Was that the biggest problem you saw in the game??? Kind of nit picking but its your right. Trust me there is far worse in the madden series. Like the complete absense of football physics. It is obviously possible since it was dun back in 04 with 2k5 football, so why doesnt EA have the will to do it, or maybe they just have no clue how to immitate it for 2k5.

What made 2k5 the best football game ever was the developers attention to detail. Little touches like showing crowd reactions, end zone celebrations, and the halftime/end of game shows to go with the more innovative first person football, the crib, and weekly preperation drills will always give this game the edge over any football game EA brings out.

Madden 2010 will NEVER be better than NFL 2K5... The people at 2K sports have already done what ea sports is trying to do now.. so, don't think that Madden 10,11 or 12 is going to be better because its not... EA Sports must start from scratch and rebuild that whole game..

Dude, the fact is that Madden does own the licenses, so with that being said, give it a rest. I agree that if NFL 2k9 was out I would buy it over Madden in a <3 beat. I loved 2k5 because of the realistic animations (apart from running) and the wind affecting passing games. I miss all that but if Madden is trying to put out a game to match 2k5, I am all for it bro. I ain't going to hate. EA bought football 2k bought baseball. The new team at EA seems intent on changing Madden for the better.

I own Madden 09. & I just recently found my copy of ESPN NFL 2K5. & I'm honestly never going to play Madden again for a long time unless it's head to head against one of my friend's who can't play 2K5 because they don't have a backwards compatible PS3.
2K5 was seriously a great game. Why do you think EA Sports monopolized the NFL licensing? Because even EA knows it's a better game. But for some unknown reason, they won't fix the problems with Madden, instead selling us the same crap every year.
