@mrcritic44, Hey I want you to check out Dr. Lawrence brown on YouTube. He was an atheist at one time then he converted to Islam. Interesting conversion story, plus his video's make alot of senses. He made a guest appearance on the Deen show which you can also view on YouTube . Let me know what u think..
I have always found it strange that the Gospels state Jesus could read and write, yet we have no manuscripts from the Most Important Man who ever lived. Buddha and Mohammed wrote...why not Christ? Oddly there are unexplained gaps in Jesus' biography as well. Why were the Gospels written by Men who couldn't agree with each other? The resurrection is sketchy and post resurrection events also. I agree with you...many questions....no answers.
for christian if u r bad but bring jesus to your heart u will go to heaven but if u r good but have no jesus in your heart u will go to hell. HAHA!!! aint that something these christian r full of themselves. so there r rapist murders in heaven right now because they brought jesus into thier heart before they died? HAHA!!! stupid christian
@18Dmar1 So what? Who knows someone didn't find some "Egyptian Chariots" and take them out on a boat, and throw them in the Red Sea, and then "find them" to "verify" the story? There was a King by the name of Sargon, who has the very same story as "Moses." And another Egyptian named MISES! Change on letter and you have Moses. hummm? Right, the "Devil" did that to "fool" us? So WHO is really the "fool" here? Please save you spiteful remarks to me Christians. That IS..what they do
@hddragracer1 No ones calling anyone a fool dude, nor did i blame the devil for any of this. Look, you should reshearch this some more, what they found was chariots completely covered in coral at the bottom of the red sea and for coral take the shape of something in the bottom of the ocean would take a very very long time. the fact that a man told us that those chariots were there thousands of years ago and then we go and find them recently just makes people wonder hummm, he could have done it.
You raised very good questions. As for Mohammad, he wasn't a coquerer himself. He didn't preach converting people to Islam by force. There's a verse in the Quran: There is no force in accepting religion." 2:256. I believe after Muhammad died, some people close to him made up quotes by him to support their future conquests. Muhammad was in fact a revolutionary for the Arab society of the time, where they would burry their female infants, practiced slavery and so on. Feel free to drop me a note!
I have been debating this with Fundamentalist Christians on sites, i was an Anglican, but lapsed due to lack of interest and also for my yearning for logic and fact. No, I do not believe they existed as written, perhaps historically, but there is NO PROOF no archealogical evidence. The bible was written by men 70-350 years after the supposed crucifixion. You are right, no Roman records of him, many others, but not him...
I don't worry too much about the Koran because to believe it you must at least believe that the bible is historically accurate. I am not convinced about the bible so why would I believe a book that is a continuation of a story I already believe is not true? Besides from what I have read of the Koran I find it poorly written compared to the bible and even more fantastically unbelievable, if that is even possible. Anyway, good video and thanks for posting.
You said that the New Testament was written "hundreds of years" after Jesus. I understand that most of it would have been written in the latter half of the first century. But instead of validating the story I believe this indicts the story as a fabrication or at least calls into question the reliability of the books. Being that the authors would only have been removed from Jesus by 1 or 2 generations it doesn't make sense that the gospels would contradict each other on some important issues.
As far as contemporary historians of Jesus mentioning him, this part is very unusual. The only reliable historian that is known to have mentioned Jesus specifically was Josephus. And he did live a couple centuries after Jesus so even he wasn't an eye witness. And the part where he describes Jesus is believed by many to be a forgery anyway. I think that any man that could have done the things Jesus was supposed to have done would be mentioned a lot. Instead the only real history is the bible.
I have read that even Jewish scholars debate whether he even existed. If you read the books attributed to Moses you find that he refers to himself in the third person a lot and they generally sound like they were written by someone else. Besides he would have had to have "written" them before the Jews were writing so hundreds of thousands of words would have had to be passed down orally until they were finally recorded no earlier than the 7th or 8th century B.C. This is what I think about moses
Also on the old testament; I have heard that it is commonly accepted among Hebrew scholars that the Torah is a compilation of several writings and histories written by four different authors. They determine this based on writing style, the terms used for god, and other unique references. I think that the evidence indicates that Moses didn't write any of the old testament and I agree with your point that he probably didn't exist at all because there is insufficient evidence to confirm it.
@esteban0321 It was "copied" by the Levite priests. Remember, it is THEIR JOBS they are protecting. Remember that. Some folks will "sell their souls to the Devil" to get what they want. Now that I believe in the "Devil." I believe in "good...and evil. NOT the so-called "beings" associated with good and evil. We all have both. It only depends who you'll listen to. I prefer Jimminy Cricket. "Let your conscience be your guide." Only problem with that is, some folks have NO conscience. Only GREED

@humanity65 Jesus was murdered for the very same reason. That is to say, IF...He ever existed too. I doubt it.
