I love Steyr AUGs and nearly bought one, but couldnt get myself to spend between $2500-$3500 depending on model, on something that is less customizable than anything else I own at half the price. Great guns, love the bullpup, but they are way over priced for being an older design with near zero modular design features.

@Sp33dyD3m0n I own one and love it. have shot a few hundred rounds in it and has never missfired. very easy to control even a girl can do it without much experience because of its short profile. Bullpups excel in close quarter combat scenario. The austrian and australian armies already use them along with some special forces units. The reason the regular infantry man doesn't carry one is due to cost not because it is a bad design. I actually prefer it is an older design its already battle proven

yeah scince the 2 months i posted that comment ive realised i much more prefer semi-auto and i hate fully auto guns. with semi-auto its more accurate more efficient and more deadly ive also started to have a new love growing for bolt action rifles and generally older guns

I have this really old catalogue from the mid/end 80's.. for hunting recreational firearms. The AUG was actually considered a very good recreational/small game hunting firearm due to it's lightweight and very good accuracy. It's ideal for the outdoorsman who will walk a long distance and has lots of things to carry.

..but in the end, I think it's prized for being very exotic! .. and it looks sexy as hell!
