I'm pretty sure he's improvising a good bit in these recordings of his, hes not actually so much playing a wrong note as accidentally coming up with a dissonance. A dissonance can be resolved. And, if you manage to incorporate dissonance into your piece successfully, it creates a lot more interesting sonic pallet. Some people take a mechanistic viewpoint of listening to music, though, and can't enjoy the tension of the dissonance-resolution game. So anyway, yeah, its not really a wrong note.
