  • Does anybody on this planet know the guitar chords to this song? I've tried all the other planets but so far had no response!

  • My favorite Partridge Family song! THANKS FOR POSTING. NICE PICS TOO.

  • I have Slacker.com to thank for introducing me to this song… and for reminding me how sad it is that I Think I Love You is the only PF song that ever gets mainstream airplay anymore.

  • Cracks me up,Danny came up to us in the Topanga Plaza when he was little (70/71?) and said he was a big TV star so he could beat us up he if wanted, wow here sure grew up like that it looks like. Good thing for him,we were not mean people at all.

  • So much of their lesser known music has been unappreciated...except for us that dug deep into their songs. Great songwriting and David came along at the right time for this music.

  • Love this song, takes me right back to being a 'Love~Sick' teenager!! - :)

  • The perfect pop song!

  • Laurie was one groovy happenin'chick...

  • people say dont live in the past but i wish i could for what doe's the future hold for all of us working till we drop with pensions that are worth nothing. from pat

  • From the 1972 album "Shopping Bag".

I miss the early 70's so much!

  • so very true....

  • How to get those warm feelings, thanks PF I am now younger and back home oh what a lovely feeling.

  • You struck a cord with your comment there nevin59, I can relate to what you said exactly. Great times, life was easy, we needed little and the people we loved and who loved us were there. This record brings me back to that time.

Bless your mother, I lost mine in 98. Your mum will be in my prayers tonight.

    Regards from Ireland.

  • Great arrangement, great lyrics, masterful instrumentation, and top notch singing from the days when music was gentle, not jarring. Thanks for the great posting. It brought back quite a few nice memories.

  • Happy Days these were , loved them .

  • one of my all time favs, and by far the best of the pf. possibly my favorite 2nd vocals on any song and i believe that is david's mom singing them.

    saul stars above texas music

  • I love this stuff! What I would give to relive those simpler times.

  • @brightchance1 I SOOO AGREE WITH YOU THERE!!!!

  • HOLA QUISIERA PODER ENVIAR UN MENSAJE DIRECTO A DAVID CASSIDY SI ALGUIEN SABE DONDE PUEDO ESCRIBIRLE LE DARE MIL GRACIAS DE POR VIDA

  • It amazes me how many people continue to respond to these videos of days gone by, although it shouldn't, because people are basicly the same at their roots. It makes me sad and happy at the same that some of you find comfort here remembering lost loved ones. I come here I think to remember a simpler time, and, I don't know, wish for more, although like everyone, some things are good some not so much. Anyway, I'll keep visiting once in awhile. Hope to see you here.

  • i have recorded this song myself and put on to cd. i love it good memories of my sue who died of cancer in 1976 R.I.P

  • I love this song and in some ways it makes me think of my father who passed away eighteen years ago, and my aunt who passed away six years ago. This song also makes me thing of the happy times I've had over the years as well, so this song briings back both good and bad memories. I loved the episode this song came from - The Partridge Papers, where Keith, Danny & Laurie try and retrieve Lauries Diary back.

    Laura Lambert

  • Makes remember some of the incredible people in my life. Missing the ones who are gone & being grateful for having known them.

It was a sweet show. Life at its simplistic best.

  • this great song reminds me of my secondery school...homewood in langley berkshire and all those crazy david cassidy girls in my class in the early 70s.....nicer times.

  • great track from the "shopping bag" album; my favorite by far

  • This was a great song! I had this bizarre crush on Laurie when I was a kid (around , age 6 or 7), but in retrospect, they were all rather photogenic.

    Susan Dey, hot

  • I am alot older now but will never forget how David Cassidy made me feel as a 13 year old girl, still love the music now

  • Wow - The Partridge Family was such a huge part of my childhood - I have all the collector cards, the game and music.......I really loved being a kid in the 70's!!!!!

  • Definitely the best song !

  • love you david let remember my past years 11 years old .

  • Beautiful!

  • the life goodnature west

  • This and "Twenty Four Hours a Day" were my two favorite PF songs of all time. I adored David Cassidy, wanted to BE Susan Dey, and never ever missed an episode of the show. Listening to these songs as an adult, they really are well-crafted and arranged, and the session musicians who played and sang were top of the line. Brings back such great memories - thanks for sharing!

  • every song is great

  • ONLY DAVID CASSIDY SHIRLEY JONES SANG ON THE RECORDS ANY OTHER VOCALS WERE DONE BY SESSION SINGERS . SESSION MUSICONS

  • what's the real story behind the "family"/?? aside from Cassidy, did all the others sing too....obviously they were just going through the motions on the instruments...

  • Brings back my days as a teenie bopper in love with David and I still am :)

  • I'm sure I'm not the only one who thought the mom was hot!

  • @leslawrenson

    Nope your not, believe me!

  • What a fabulous memory tune! Love it.

  • Seven of us sitting across the back seat of a huge old Ford Consul, cousins, bro and sis and me, waiting for Dad and Mum to get ready to come out to take us to a lovely country pub on a village green on a summer evening, this playing on the old a.m. radio on the top 20 countdown.

Soon, the muslims will ban pubs in England, but they can`t steal my memories.

  • this reminds me of me big sis...beltin out cassidy tunes in r box-room...xxx

  • The best song PF every did. Reminds me of my sisters and I sitting around listening to the LP from our parents stereo. More meaningful times especially upon my mothers death Dec 08. Simpler and happy times not appreciated as a kid. LU Mom!

  • @nevin59 Nice comment that puts it all into perspective. :)

  • @nevin59 Actually, I couldn't say this is the best PF song -- because there are SO MANY that are fantastic, like this one.

  • @nevin59 i feel the same. my mom died in june of 2008 and the older i get the more i miss the days of simplicity, the 70's and being young and having my parents and being in love with david. kids just don't realize a lot of stuff.

  • @nevin59 I think Echo Vally and Doesn't Somebody Want To Be Wanted are strong contenders. Love'm all though. Agree about happy and simpler times. Sorry about your Mom. Both my parents are gone.

  • I used to think David and Susan were brother and sister.look at 2:34. and you'll see what I mean! This is my all time favourite David/Partridge Family record.Marvellous backing vocals and such a catchy tune should have been a much bigger hit. Pax to all from Ian Smith.Xxx.

  • @1973nitram Not brother and sister and just as well, from what I've since read !!! Pax to all from 'SoulBoy' Smith.Xxx.

  • IM SMILING . ILOVE YOU JAN

  • this song maked me feel happy ......

  • this song gives me goose bumps....

  • i love the 70s

  • Brings back memories of the 70s when life was carefree and the Partridge Family especially David Cassidy was my inspiration!!

  • GROWING UP IN THE 70s WAS A HAPPY MAGICAL TIME - MARC BOLAN T.REX DAVID CASSIDY ETC ETC . . SUSAN DEY HAD MY HORMONES FLYING , , WONDER WHERE AND WHAT SHES DOING THESE DAYS ? . .

  • Too bad they never did a reunion show.

  • Oh !! My favorite song!

    Thank you !!

    Domo Arigato!

  • My all time favorite PF song. Thanks for posting.

  • OMG i totally forgot that this song even existed--thank you so much for all the wonderful memories.

  • perfect montage of Partridge Family memories, thanks sumerKis

  • Oh yes this is awesome. The music in the early 1970's had the 60's beat but was progressing to what the Partridge Family called UP TO DATE. At any rate

the music was and still is the best!

  • A song that is hard to listen to after losing your mom, kinda melancholy.

  • She will be with you as long as this beautiful song endures..........

  • Im so sorry for your loss. I watched the PF show every Friday nite at my aunts house and she passe away in Feb. The songs bring back precious but kinda painful memories. God bless you

  • OUTSTANDING!!!!

  • Brings me back to when I was 13!

  • Susan Dey is so lovely!

  • Used to listen to this ..and dream of the girl next door....who was ALMOST as pretty as Susan Dey.

  • like how you said 'almost' I don't think there was a girl in the whole world back then as pretty as Susan Dey.. certainly not to my early teen eyes! too bad you can't freeze moments in time except only in music, photographs and memories!

  • About my 2nd favorite song that year.

  • Well done!

    Cheers.

  • i love this song! i actually love all the songs of the partridge family and david cassidy! i know them so well, that i can sing along word for word!

    thepartridgefamilyaregreat!!!

  • Best love song ever written!!

  • My second favorite Partridge song. "I'll Meet You Halfway" being my fave. I don't know why PF isn't on TV anymore. TV Land (which is horrible now) played it years ago for a very short period. Maybe they want to sell dvds, I don't know. They don't mind playing the Brady Bunch continuously though. No comparison!

  • I totally agree the Brady's have no talent

  • Thanks reneee800 ! :-)

  • I've always loved Ma Partridge.

  • Partridge family bus, a conservative hippie wagon or what?

  • Danny> NO! Susan Dey> YES!!

    omg... She is painfully pretty!

  • Thank You PARTRIDGE FAMILY!

  • Great array of photos as the backdrop to one of their well-crafted songs.

  • susan dey is so cute

  • This was good clean show with good music. We need this type of show again cause all the shows are smut!

  • Maybe I'll put in a request to them to do another. After all, another Mother's Day is coming up! I'll have to think of what song I would like to hear. So many good ones. I hope they'll consider it. I need to get

Bulletin Board. Is it available on CD yet? And is David Cassidy still married or divorced. Does he have any kids?

  • So did I! Maybe they will do a cover of another PF song in the future. It is nice to know young folks like them know about the great PF music and songs!

  • I really miss this kind of music vs today's lol Yeah it be be nice if they did do another.

  • Thanks for your reply so fast, Sumer. Tristan Kelly is the person who did a cover of Yes Love. Just look up the song, Yes Love, that you posted and you see there cover on the side, click it , and listen and watch. It's really nice. Let me know what you think.

  • I thought it was great!

  • Hey SumerKis, thanks for all these great songs and videos. Great Work! I'm sorry to hear that Tony Romeo passed away. When was this? He was a great songwriter! I used to sit in front of the TV with my tape recorder to tape every PF song in each episode. It was a cheap way of getting the songs. I still love these songs, probably as much as you do. By the way, what do you think of the TristanKelly cover of Yes Love. I thought it was nicely done and sweet!

  • I am not sure when Tony Romeo passed away. I will try to find out when. I don't know who Tristan Kelly is? lol So I haven't heard it.

  • Such a sweet romantic song with a lovely tune.Partridge Family's best track.Tony Romeo wrote it I think. He was always writing sweet songs. Whats he doing now?

  • Tony Romeo passed away.

  • What a great song. These people need to get together for a reunion while everyone of them is still alive. Yes, WITH Susan Dey! Please Ms. Dey, just one will do it!!

  • At 0:54 David Cassidy looks hot. He was my teen hearthrob. I must of had every picture of him from Tiger Beat magazine plastered all over my bedroom.

  • COMPLETELY AGREE !!!!!!!

  • this video is GREAT!does anyone have

the original video of this song?

if so please let me know, thanks.

  • My favorite PF song,i`m 14 again (i wish),could listen to this all day.

  • nice thoughts of the 70s and summer nights ...Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • What a sweet song and voice.

  • 30+ years on, the song, the voice, the arrangement all perfect. At the risk of sounding like my dad, WHY DON'T THEY WRITE THEM LIKE THIS ANY MORE???????????????????

  • Great track. Thankyou. But does anyone have a video clip of this? Was it ever performed in the series??

  • One of many fantastic tunes by The Partridge Family. Why can't they write songs this catchy anymore?

  • There is a thirst from the public for music like this, but somewhere along the way, we took a wrong turn and just kept going. Every now and then, a pop artist turns out a really catchy pop tune today. A couple examples might be "The Zephyr Song" by RHCP, "Someday" by Sugar Ray, "Big Me" by Foo Fighters.

These songs all have catchy hooks. But they just don't seem to appeal to today's more "sophisticated" listeners.

    What a joke.

  • I agree with you, 10050cielo. These songs have the catchiest hooks. Think they'd be hits today? This one, along with Brown Eyes, is especially fantastic. I feel like a young teen again: about to burst because I want to share this amazing song with the world. Anyone else feel like this? Thank you again, SumerKis38, for sharing this mood lifter with us.

  • Yes, others feel the same as you!! xoxo!

  • I'm twelve and I love them. My parents introduced them to me, saying that they watched the TV show when they were little. I fell in love. :)

  • Not many people would admit to liking the partridge family, but made some great music..well..given that they wernt actually playing..but you know what I mean!

  • One of the prettiest pictures of Susan Dey at 0:20. Breathtaking!

  • Absolutely! I've always though that she was kinda hot.

  • This song is kind of sad, but I love it.

  • I think if the Partridge family producers hadn't picked up this song, it would have sounded good sung by someone like Karen Carpenter. Great tune, nice harmonies, cool subtle horns!!

  • And excellent piano work!!

  • Thank u this video iz how my man says I LOVE U

  • SumerKis38 do you have season 3 on order? :-)

  • :::gasp::: How did you know? ;)

  • My second all-time favorite PF song.I never get tired of hearing that song. Thanks for posting.

PS: My all-time PF song is Summer Days.
