  • Cool guy you are, seen a good few of your vids, the one you did for the mechanic was pretty impressive. If I was in the states I'd get my garments done by you, UK guys let me down, now I gotta do my own. Just a quick troubleshoot Q, I'm using a good amount of paint and pulling down on my screen, my squeeqes a good size but some parts of the print aren't coming out and the screen isn't blocked, my permasets quite thick.. Any idea? Thanks.

  • @randomgirl1755 Thank you very much! I appreciate your support. Are you sure there isn’t any staining or hazing in the mesh? I wouldn’t know where to look if your screen is perfectly open and printable. Is the ink drying up on you as you print? Are you back flooding? Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • @CatspitProductions Hi, you're welcome and thank you too. The mesh is clear from blockage as far as I know, I also use a cleaner and the ink is wet. I think there's a problem with how I'm flooding the screen and dragging the squeegee across, I did'nt grasp the whole concept before I got started on it. Just come across your flood and stroke tutorial, did'nt realise you covered all those areas. Will watch some more and ask for help, many thanks.

  • @randomgirl1755 No problem, my pleasure. Thanks for the support and good luck! ☠

  • hi

please if i would bay a machine "screenprinter" like in the video, what should i do,

    can you give some ideas,

    thanks

  • @yabdel1 That depends on what you want to print, your end goals and your budget. The Catspit Productions website is a great place to start to learn about what it will take to screen print and what you will need to do it. The link is on my YouTube channel page. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • looks good what do you think about the flouresnt colors like green for night time use? I whould like to do a skull with a haze around the edge of the skull.

  • @roxrnardm Thanks! This is a true fluorescent ink that glows under novelty black lamps like the ones at clubs. I also have a green like this too but it does not glow in the dark at all. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing Fluorescent Pink On Black Thermals & Hoodies

  • @pemburuiklan Nice, thank you! Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • whats that thing you're using to dry the first pink coating?

  • @001JURIZ That would be a flash cure dryer. It is a small infrared panel that heats the ink up to about 250 F or so. It makes the ink dry to the touch. You can learn about the entire process and equipment on my website. The link is on the channel page. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Inspirational videos as ever. How much do you charge for this particular printing work (considering the size of print, 2 color design, nos. of shirts/hoddies, etc.)? Just wana know a little knowledge how this screen printing biz does. Thanks alot!

  • @trebluap Thank you I'm very happy to hear you liked the video. You can find my general pricing and policies on the Custom Orders tab of the Catspit website. There I have standard pricing for T-shirts as well as some of my other fees. But this particular job was of a larger quantity in total and was priced on volume. The website link is on the YouTube channel page. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • Thanks for the reply, I will definitely check it out, very informative videos on your site

  • @cheekycurt No problem! Feel free to ask questions anytime. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • What kind of ink is best to use

  • @cheekycurt I like plastisol inks and currently I use Excalibur. You can get it at a discount with a promo code form the Catspit website. See the channel page or video description for the link. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment! ☠

  • in your stencil design.. did you have the background design (pink) cut out the areas where the text was going? or did you just put the silver ink right over top of the pink ink?

  • @420jaymac The pink ink was “knocked out” so the silver prints directly on the tee shirt. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • Is it Cat Spit or Cat's pit? ._.

  • @a20010494 Actually one word; Catspit. And technically it refers to my old cat’s spit. Literally. You can read the entire story on the About Us page of the Catspit website. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • much love mr spit, more good shit, you are a printing idol

  • @OldDirtyRetard Nice, thank you! Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • Are u selling those?

  • @TheNTGDancers No, I’m sorry it was just a print job. Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • i would love to get into screen printing, but to start up is soooo EXPENSIVE! and the home units are kinda cheesy. i loved the colors u used for this shirt! great video!

  • @heatherwillis1990 Yes, it can be expensive especially if you want to get set up with equipment that will you’re your printing easier. Having the right tools can help out a lot! Glad you liked the shirt, thanks! Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • Awesome work!

  • @MarcDigital Thank you! Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • @CatspitProductions Anytime. I feel it is neccessary to give props and respect where it is due.

  • @MarcDigital That is awesome to hear! Thanks so much for your support. ☠

  • could please do a series on basic poster screen printing - paint on paper?

  • @kumquatsta Yes, eventually I will probably do some other videos on printing poster stock or papers. But that will be sometime in the future. Bear with me and stay tuned! Thanks for watching & commenting! ☠

  • Can you explain really How To make a CMYK process...in a future video ... I really need an explanation from photoshop to the dryer :) ... thanks !

  • @Toche If I get a job where I need to do CMYK, I will make a video about it but it won’t cover creating the separations. That is not my forte and I send out my CMYK artwork to be separated for me. Seps and film in one shot. That way all I have to worry about is printing. And I would most certainly do CMYK on an automatic, not a manual. 1 color halftones or duotones are o.k. on a manual press but process work will be much harder on a manual. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • @Toche fucking wierd that i went from a song named CMYK to this. XD cmykcmykcmyk

  • @Zkrudriverz LOL... Thanks for stopping by!

  • Great Video Jon.

    Still the best on Youtube.

    From

    Daniella.

  • @daniellacatton Thanks much! You are such a sweatheart!

  • Awesome Video, so of course I have my Questions. Were the screen only coated once on each side? You got a lot of opacity the Pink and Grey on your first pass. Why a color hit, flash, hit... vs. White hit, Flash, Color Hit?

Did you over print the Colors vs. Butt Registration between the two? Some spots that would be 4 Layers of Ink compared to mostly two Layers. Wouldn't there be a texture difference?

Sorry to be the one who always needs additional details.

  • @chrama1 My screens are always coated once each side. I only double hit the pink to make the color more intense on black. It just didn’t cover so well. It would have been the same difference if I used white. On a 6/6 rotary press you would rotate the pallets and print heads exactly the same way whether the under base is pink or white. It was a butt/butt registration set up with no overprinting. Just whatever fills in over the run. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • buen video

  • @o12836 It is my pleasure to help out. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • What type of ink are you using?

  • @Rlgoggs These are plastisol screen printing inks for textiles. The ink is heat cured. Check out my video collection for videos about flash curing and using the belt oven with plastisol inks. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • ohh . .you're still doing the never weaken project . . .seems like a big project . . . :)

  • @saattchi Sort of a big project; they have several designs and print different things at different times. This is just another order with a different design. It’s a nice print job to have and I wish them the best of luck. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • awesome man finally some one does a black hoodie nice (:)}

what that thing you sprayed on that surface before you put on the hoodie

  • i believe its a table adhesive for printing:)

  • @ruxvellprints Exactly! It keeps the shirt in place for printing. Check out my video collection for the video about spray tacks. It explains the different types and how they are used. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • @whatdeznuts Thank you! I can’t believe no on has ever printed black hoodies on YouTube. It’s a Catspit first! LOL. The spray is an adhesive called spray tack. It is used to keep the shirt fixed to the pallet during printing. Check out my video collection for the video about spray tacks. It explains the different types and how they are used. Thanks for watching & commenting!

  • ahh something is wrong with YT :-/ video stops loading every minute and won't continue until page is refreshed :(

  • @Tolrias Ever since YouTube has been modifying their format, the channel page and video players have been not working as well as they used to. Sometimes I load a channel page and parts of it are missing including the featured video but I can hear the audio from it. The commenting function is totally out of whack and never works properly for me. It seems comments end up all over the place now and it is hard to tell what is what. Thanks for watching & commenting!
