OMG, this game was my favorite back in the time, and it did really good for a NES platform!

I'm still remember how's the "candies", "shoe" and many special effect stuffs in the game, I always love green candy + shoe, then you can become fast shooting bubble and walking fast as well. XD (Blue candy was ok though, but long distance shooting and faster shooting, I prefer fast one.)

Wow! This one of the first games I owned... Christmas day when I was 8 years old, me and my sister would play it constantly, it was the only time we wouldn't fight (We were typical brother and sister). BTW the letters spell out EXTEND, we managed to do it once, and I think it gives you a 1up or something.

Wikipedia's article on this game is insanely thorough. It even discusses stuff like the fact that most of the items actually don't appear randomly; a candy cane, for instance, is absolutely certain to appear if you ride a bubble 20 times in one level. Pretty cool game.

There are many items.

Bubble gum allows you to shoot bubbbles faster and farther.

The shoes make you move faster.....but also makes it harder to jump on bubbles.

The magic potion destroys all enemies on screen. (I think)

There is also an item that starts a bonus screen. :)
