@thebestofindica Yes the one that came with the kit. A little bit of drone under heavy throttle with a trailer behind the truck but nothing at cruising speed.

smarty is hands down the best chip and I agree it runs better on 3 or 5 then it does on 9. Try stacking MP-8 with it... thats a good time.

Your demanding ALOT more fuel that the stock system can supply. An aftermarket lift pump and a free CP3 mod will fix that. Seeing as how this is just a DD that my wife drives most the time and the weekend tow rig for teh pulling truck. I'm happy were I'm at. LOL

How is that? The factory lift pump wont keep up with teh fuel demands of the CP3 with a SMARTY or a Bully Dog turned up all the way... Get a rail pressure gauge if you dont belive me. My truck pulls stronger on 5 then it does 7 or 9. Sure 7 and 9 have a harder intial burst but as soon as it uses up its initial "reserve" supply and drops the pressure... Its a dog. Run it on 5 it pulls strong the whole time. 9 puts down a higher number on the dyno but 5 runs better on the street.

Why would you want to increase the pressure on the fuel rail to inject more diesel and cause thick black smoke? It doesn't give you any more power, it gives you LESS as the diesel is going off as smoke. This ruins the diesel pump, rail and injectors. It's usually people that know nothing about engines that buy this junk after reading misleading advertising. Waste of time, improve performance by taking it off! Feel the difference with a correctly running engine.

Yeah i run it in my 05. its on sw#4 ,which is the 90 horse, stock timing level. its really awesome the truck just hauls ass.

smarty is the best for dodge. you can stack a smarty too. bully dog sucks. get it if you want to blow out injector pumps and injectors all the time.

i got the smarty and put it on my 2003 ram 2500 and on sw#1 and sw#3 i get no smoke it just halls ass. now i have a afe stage 2 cold air intake, 4" straight pipe turbo back exhaust and a fass 150gph fuel pump everything else is stock. any one have a clue why i have no smoke

You might try reloading SW # 3. It should smoke if you romp on it. When I got my smarty, I told them to put it on sw # 3, but when I got into it, it didn't smoke, so I went to reload it. It said the current software was sw #4 which should smoke a lot, so just try reloading the desired software.

i have a smarty on my 2000 2500 cummins and when its on stage 3 it blows less smoke then on stage 1 which is fuel saver.... i dont really get that
