I also grew up in Stockton, and some of my best memories are playing in Pixie Woods. I now bring my students to Pixie Woods, and try to share one of the best places for kids to go in Stockton.
I am soooo glad that PIxie woods is still open! I grew up playing in this magical Pixie Kingdom! I also worked there after high school giving tours to schools (field trips). I worked with Dorotha, she was so sweet! I can remember swimmin in the old wading pool and having snow cones, then watching the shows at toadstool theatre! Most of my best memories of childhood where here at Pixie Woods, my boys got to enjoy it too, they are growin up on me now, but we will never grow out of Pixie Woods!
Wow, what a tribute to a Stockton landmark. This is an inspiration to young and old, I remember soo many wonderful times here. Glen you have captured the sheer essence of being a kid again with your slide show, also what a tribute to your wonderful mother, I applaud you!!!
