The movement to free Mumia is a world-wide movement and includes people from all walks of life and many different points of view. We all have two things we agree on. End the Death Penalty. Mumia is Innocent. Mumia has become the world's most famous political prisoner. When the USA abolishes the death penalty and when Mumia walks out of prison Philadelphia cops will have good reason to be afraid. Free all political prisoners. Free the Cuban 5, Lynne Stewart, Leonard Peltier and Aafia Siddiqui.
I am still not for the death penalty, but that does not absolve committing of a murder. Mumia was not holding any secret plans for the CIA. He did not have the answer for old age. He simply did not control himself when he saw his brother mix it up with a police officer. He acted with emotion and lost it murdering another human being. Killing Mumia won't bring Officer Faulkner back. Make me understand: Why won't his brother speak up and defend Mumia if he is innocent? This is why he is in prison.

i was happy to see myself and many of my dearest friends in this video. that day was inspiring, on so many levels. mumia is an innocent man and he deserves a new trial so that he can prove his innocence! FREE MUMIA NOW! ON A MOVE!
If Joeclarik is not for the death penalty, then why does he not call for a new trial for Mumia to clear up the questions raised by the crime scene photo evidence with held by the prosecution? Why does possession of a gun imply that the gun was used to murder a cop when no ballistic tests were performed on the gun or powder tests on Mumia or Faulkner. Mumia is innocent. Mumia was framed. Why is Joeclarik afraid of a new trial?
I was for the death penalty at one time until as we all know, some are found guilty on no eveidence. I am still not for the death penalty, no matter what the circumstances. The photos are crime scene and were used with additional evidence. The gun registered to him, his holster on his belt, the ammo from his gun. It is not necessary to have video of a murder to convict. He put himself where he is today and no one did that for or against him.
I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. Mumia didn't put himself in that situation, that situation was put on him purposely. Check out the New Crime Scene Photos on my youtube page, the concrete proof of Mumia's innocence. This is just to put the icing on the cake. This false accusation was realized from the beginning by people who have the wisdom to accept what is true.
The nation is aware of the vast number of innocent people convicted and sent to death row because so many have been released after new evidence came to light. As a result most states with the notable exception of Texas have moved to abolish the death penalty or restrict its use. We need to ask why the Joe Clariks of our country refuse to acknowledge blatant suppression of evidence and witnesses in Mumia's case. If it was suppressed, how could we read it in the transcripts?
The information from me Part 1, 2,3,4 are taken directly from the trial transcripts. It sucks, the truth I mean. Truth is irrelevant here to supporters of Mumia, it's not about truth, it is about pulling an OJ. Allowing him to get away with murder. Like I said, the death penalty, that I can understand your concern, but eyewitnesses and irrefutable evidence makes your point moot.
3 "witnesses" testified that Mumia stood over Faulkner. If you are for truth then deal with the suppressed evidence in photos showing no craters beside Faulkner's body where shots missed. You say only Mumia's prints were found on his gun when a suppressed photo clearly shows a cop holding it barehanded. How come the police did not test Mumia or his gun for blowback and recent firing. Mumia is innocent. Framed.
Additionally, Jamal was wearing an empty shoulder holster when he was apprehended. Even Jamal's own lawyers admit that he was carrying a gun that morning -- though they have never explained what he intended to do with it, other than murder Officer Faulkner
The bullet which killed Faulkner was never matched to Mumia's gun, whatever the caliber. The problem with Clarik is that he throws up a smokescreen of irrelevant nonsense which he claims is evidence.Clarik claimed that blowback powder was on Mumia's hands. False. He was never tested. Nor was his gun tested for recent firing.Clarik doesn't want you to think about the video which is about how the cops and prosecution and judges conspired to frame an innocent man.
Joe, you are the ONLY ONE here that bothered to read the trial transcripts, such as myself. These idiot crimeaholic supporters are in deep denial that Jamal KILLED Faulkner for no reason, and they make up lies to convince themselves that some phantom killed Faulkner, then disapeared into the night. Everything in your posts stated the truth. All these losers do is whine and cry racism because they have nothing valid to say.
Mumia's gun was a 38 revolver and the gun that killed the cop was a 45. A man admitted to killing that cop, and the judge was over heard saying "I'm going to help them fry that nigger". Um, I have to say that if you don't see that Mumia is innocent then I would have to you are probably a racist that can't see past Mumia's dreads.
Anyone who doubts that the gun found next to Jamal was actually his gun should have a look at the trial evidence. The gun was purchased by Mumia Abu-Jamal and registered in his name. A storeowner, Joseph Kohn, testified in 1982 and stated that he sold Jamal this exact gun on July 17, 1979. (Two years before Jamal became a cab driver.) He produced a purchase receipt with Jamal's signature on it and a serial number that matched Jamal's gun.
Ay, stupid..... yeah you... Jamal had a 38 that was registred in his name, and the cop was killed with a 45. Are you just an idiot or just plain stupid?
Ay, stupid..... yeah you... Jamal had a 38 that was registred in his name, and the cop was killed with a 45. Are you just an idiot or just plain stupid?
So maybe the gun the police produced as evidence against Jamal was thrown there in order to frame him? No. The gun had been legally purchased by Jamal years prior to the shooting, and was registered in his name.
Further, Jamal's own ballistics expert, George Fassnacht, conceded in his 1995 PCRA testimony that the fatal bullet was not .44 caliber, and that it was most "likely" a .38. Although the D.A.'s officer offered in open court to let Jamal's attorneys test the fatal bullet, they refused this offer, and have never offered any alternative test results to counter the above evidence.
Judge Sabo even urged Fassnacht to try to prove his case. he refused. PPl bent over backwards to give jamal a fair trial, but all he and the goons that support him did was have repeated outbursts and disruptions. Jamal and the losers lost any credibility they could of had, had they acted civil and followed procedure. The evidence was overwhelming. And they expected the jury to find him innocent? LOL MOVE, etc. need to get over it and get a life.
Official ballistics tests done on the fatal bullet verify that Officer Faulkner was killed by a .38 caliber bullet, not a .44 caliber bullet. The fatal .38 slug was a Federal brand Special +P bullet with a hollow base (the hollow base in a +P bullet was distinctive to Federal ammunition at that time).
Ballistics does not prove who shot the gun.... BUT IT DOES. When you fire a weapon holding it in your hand, gunpowder or residue from the blowback when firing the gun, sprinkles the hand and the clothes of the person firing the weapon. This technology is not new and was used in this caseand confirmed for Officer Faulkner and Mumia? Now what?
Where do you get your information? A ballistics expert found it incredible that police at the scene failed to test Mumia's gun to see if it had been recently fired. A .44 caliber bullet lodged in Faulkner's brain killed him. Mumia had a 38. Mumia was not tested for powder residue. Why did the police not find prints on the guns from the officer in the photo? Mumia was framed.
Mike: I can appreciate that you don't want anyone put to death, however ballistics are more difficult to fudge than photographs,I have experience in forensics. The bullets taken from a body, the blood on them, the twists or markings on the bullets come from the barrel riflelings, and the pin on the hammer making a mark like no other. If you can take this all off the table legitamately, then you can take him to your home.
How come the prints from the cop holding the guns barehanded in the photo were not found on both of the guns? It's a frame up. How do you know that Mumia was the one who fired the gun? I am not interested in changing the subject to the death penalty. You made a big deal about how the only prints found on Mumia's gun were Mumia's prints. This contradiction is blatant and you are trying to wiggle out of it. Ballistics does not prove who shot the gun.
Once again, photographs are not balistics. Bullets from Officer Faulkners police issue weapon were found in Mumia's body. Bullets from the weapon found at the scene (with mumia's fingerprints were found in the body of Officer Faulkner. Again did he do it, the real hard ballistic evidence concludes this. Whether he should be put to death for it is another story.
Photos of the cop holding the guns with bare hands were with held from the defense. The photos are more significant than ballistics. That is why the prosecution buried them. Mumia was framed by a racist judge and prosecution in a so-called justice system racist to the core. Mumia did not kill Faulkner.
Suppressed evidence exonerating Mumia came to light on the Dec. 6 TODAY SHOW. The two guns referred to by Joe Clarik were photographed in the bare hands of a Philadelphia cop at the crime scene by a news reporter on Dec. 9, 1981, minutes after the murder of Faulkner.
yea, great comeback. I don't believe in the death penalty. There is no doubt that Mumia, Officer Faukner and Mumia's brother were there at the scene of the murder. So, if Mumia is innocent of the crime of murder, please can anyone out there in fantasyland tell me why his brother won't come to the stand and tell the truth? Al I know is if my brother was innocent, I would be the first one in line to save him. anything else in this case is pure BULLSHIT!
You can love mumia if you want, but no one feels all that comfortable hugging a murderer! That is why His brother never defended him, because he can't. If he would open his mouth and only speak the truth, Mumia would be toast. He is quilty of shooting a man who was wounded and could not defend himself no further. He leaned over and took a life when it was unnecessary. That is where the anger comes from. I hope you never have to feel a loss such as this. Remember Officer Daniel Faulkner?

2. There were only two guns found at the scene of the murder.

4. The only Finger prints found on each of the two guns, one from Officer Faulkner and one from Mumia, were the ONLY prints found on the weapons.
