  • brandoneast1974, you need to educate yourself my friend. I bet if I went on to the new urban dictionary or the new Webster Dictionary which I and many of my family members are part of, there are many words that have been adopted by the English language that have come along over the years so why would you say that Lumbee language isn't a language at all? Maybe if you got out more and traveled and talked to other people you might find out more about people.

  • @sirknightwells I lived in ROCO/Cumberland county for over 10 years. and I have met plenty of Lums who can speak english... but that stuff is no more than slang... thats it. Lumbee english is just that English... there is no Cherokee English its either Cherokee or English.... Im certain there is Lumbee.. but slang added to the English language does not make it its own language.... if thats the case I need to make a video of Redneck English...

  • This has to BE'S the worst video I have ever seen... there is no such thing as lumbee English. Its either English or its isn't ... Y'all have mommucked up English and I'm heard some bad English but wow.... I bet Oleander is embarrassed as hell. Ellick is known coffee regular.... Pa Sac!!!

  • I'm a lumbee and I LOVE the way I talk I wouldn't trade it for nothin Pa KEKEKE

  • I grew up in Robeson county, when completely awake and functional I sound like a proper speaking white guy from Central GA. When I'm half asleep or back home I speak Lumbee English with pride. If I spoke it around here people wouldn't understand me, lol. Ironically I'm a Lumbee/Black mix. Severely proud of my heritage!

  • Hell yeah..I miss Robco!

  • The guy in 2:11 looks like a native american; whether he is of Cheraw, Tuscarora or Cherokee descent. Period.

  • I'm a lumbee, but I don't talk that way. I've heard all the terms cause my grand pa is full lumbee , but I never talked like that.

  • Im not Lumbee but i hear the outer banks accent alot and it all sounds normal to me

  • Dont give up y'alls dialect for nothing. I'm an Appalachian English speaker, of stock "Appalachian" makeup (mostly Anglo-Scots, with Cherokee), and I get the same shit from outsiders as you folks.

  • My best friends are Lumbees. My girlfriend is Lumbee. Once you can get past the dialect you'll find they're a great bunch of people. You haven't partied 'til you've partied with Lumbees!

  • many tribes lost their language and history with the onslaught of the whites. The name lumbee was one chosen by the people themselves. simply because you use the name the whites gave you 200 years ago doesnt prove anything. Indian is a way of life.

  • These people sound ridiculous, these people are not indians just wanna bes

  • Your mother is a wanna be!!!!!!! haha

  • Nah idiot my mother has proof!!! Something you will never have!

  • like you said ur ''mommy'' has proof, u dnt have shit. an if u dnt like lumbee indians dnt look at da videos.ur probably hatin cause wer da 2nd largest tribe dis side of da mississppi river with a total of 80,000 of us lumbees so da is sum knowledge fur ur ass,,,,,

  • @bradley1109 The only reason I look at "da" videos is to point out your ignorance. I find it interesting that the "lumbees" have no language or no cultural background but are "indian". No mention of the "lumbees" during the removal period either. Me, my mom, my dad have proof, don't be jealous.

  • @RichardWolfe79 Actually, you should recognize your own ignorance. The Lumbee, my people, are a mixture of many tribes fleeing northern north carolina down to the swamps of southern north carolina when many of their own people were fleeing west to get away from white colonization. I am Lumbee and my husband is Anishinaabe (Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe). Just because Lumbees talk like they do does not make them any less Native.

  • @RichardWolfe79 Many tribes don't have their language. It may be floating around but most tribes no longer have any native speakers. Also, I would say most card-carrying members of federally recognized tribes run around gang-banging and drug dealing and talking either "ebonics" or what some would consider "white." So I would say that Lumbees are truly no different than any other tribe.

  • @AshesoftheFire Its not really Ebonics. It seems similar though..

  • @RichardWolfe79 What makes a Native is their pride for their blood line and trying to keep what's left of a dying culture. And I would say that this is universal for all Natives. And as a matter of fact, most natives aren't even full-blooded. There was SOOOO much mixing against their will as well as consensual and it is still that way.

  • @RichardWolfe79 All natives have a culture that they fight to keep alive. There was a reason why natives fled from the east. You can see this reflected in the loss of culture among the tribes that came together to create the Lumbee. So to sit there and down people who share a distant blood line with you, as the Lakota say, "we are all related"...makes you much less of a Native in my eyes.

  • im a Lumbee

  • Why aren't you showing all of Carnell?

  • Im a firefighter in Cumberland County right on the edge of Robeson and Hoke Countys and we deal with Lumbees almost everyday. I love to hear them talk it is possibly the most unique accent in the world. I can do just about all they're grammer lol, They always say papa and cuz haha and lawdogs and rollers and mommuk haha they're hilarious

  • they forgot ONLYIS......EXAMPLE... thats the onlyis way i know how to do it...
