do these float after construction is complete.just wondering and your ship is turning out pretty good especially for a rookie ship builder of the type.
i want to make one of this and hide in it a litlle bomb nothing big i would hide in bomb only so big to make a Booom and destroy ship :D gosh i want to do that so bad :D
always soak the plank in warm water for at least 20 minutes , before to work with it and the use of wood glue ( titebond type ) does a much better job of gluing .
Tim, Are you registered in the private forum section for the Armed Virgina Sloop at Bob Hunt's Lauck Street Shipyard web site? If so, what's you screen name?
Sorry about the delay in video 4 and beyond. a virus wiped out my video editing software. I have new software up and running so the new videos will be posted shortly.
Thanks for this video series. Watching the planking was particularly helpful. I'm building my first model as well - Midwest Sakonnet Daysailer, via the online practicum being offerred by some members of the SSL yahoo group. Looking forward to your next video.
I'm enjoying this series very much. I've just recently purchased Mamoli's Black Prince model and so I'm enjoying getting your perspective as I too am a beginner. I look forward to future postings. Thank you for sharing.

Mix the your super glue with white glue ... sets a little slower giving you abit more working time and makes a better bond in the long run :)

Does look ship shape. My ship is being made from scratch, no kit, but the process is the same.

Looking very good.
I just started building too, I picked up the America by Constructo, 40 hours into the build, the Knightheads are giving me trouble but oh well right.
After seeing this series I think I will enroll in the College for my next set of boats.
Keep up the good work!
