I mostly run at 1/8 mile at an old airstrip with a flag start and no timing equip. but the times I have been to Famoso it has consistanly run mid tens @ 125+ (best was 10.61 @ 127 mph)
@mctim64 Nice, I found the vid of that, sounds great. I run a 182ci 6 cylinder with a turbo and we run around 4.5 @ 150 on the 8th and 7.2 @ 187 on the 1/4, its a bit of a handfull but great fun. Best of luck with yours.
What 6 cyl.? Those are some real good times! I'd like to see the car. I'm limited to what I can do to my engine in the C/GD class but the chassis is cert. for 7.50 and I would like to get it there someday. I have an engine on a stand in my garage that I built for the Uni LSR that I think would move this car to the mid 9s, I may try it someday soon.
@mctim64 Its a Nissan RB30 straight 6, we run around 1400hp on petrol and its been a steep learning curve to get the hang of a front engined chassis when comming out of a 7 sec street car. The FED 60fts in 1.05 which is quicker than it did with a blown alky big block and if we can get some grip from around 330 out it should run 6s. If you click my username it'll take you to my video's, there's plenty there of a few different cars we've run with the 182 6 cyl.
There are mounts for a chute and wheelie bar. Big Block? I think you missed the point, watch it again and take a good look at what engine is in there then look at my other videos and see just what engine I'm all about. Thanks for your interest.
great job, your a winner even at the end with that big kiss. have fun and be safe guy!
