  • added carbin fiber strips to the wings this makes them more durably and it is very light so it wont add hardly any weight

  • You could also add tape to the wings to make it last longer without chunks getting taken out

  • This was my first rc plane, i completely abused it, but i learnt alot and now i would consider myself as a pretty good pilot! thanks for the help!

  • great review

  • do you have the champ? i do and its kind of hard to fly. one more thing, im tryin to make a plane and my hobby shop is always out of foam if you make planes, tell me where you get foam for makin planes

  • This was my first 4 channel RC plane. My only other plane was a 2 channel and they are bad. This video (about 1 year ago) convinced me to get this plane. It probably wan't the best idea to start with a 3d aeroplane but i think i benefited from it because I now have 7 RC planes and 3 helicopters. Great Video

  • watch my flying videos with falco 300 !!! in my account ...

  • I GOT MINE FOR 40 BUCKS!!!!!!

  • Do you experience much counter rotation? It looks extremely light

  • does it hover?

    Does it survive minor crashes?

  • @matrobsti 1. not without mods, but the new xp one will.

    2. yes as it is so light, it can't do much damage,

  • I just bought the SU-26XP this weekend at the IRCHA Helicopter Jamboree. It's a fun little plane, although just a bit squirrely. I primarily fly helicopters, but do enjoy flying 3D foamies, In the gym in the wintertime.

The Sukhoi might be a bit of a handful indoors. I've found it doesn't like to fly slow. :)

  • very good thank for the tip!!!

  • my elevator stops working when my throttle is on... but when i take the throttle off it works fine? any ideas?

  • nice video! Love the mods! I might do some of them on the new sukhoi SU-26XP. The tail wheel to skid idea is great! Check out the SU-26xp - you will love it!

  • Great idea about the tail skid. I'm going to swap out the tail wheel on my Park Zone P-51 for a skid. Thanks for the info!!!

  • thanks for the tips u r a awesome flyer just inprove your camera person over all i give u 9 out of 10

  • i had a go of my ucle's plane last night and it was awsome never flown a 3d plane before but soon will be all the time!

  • @jiuop thats great. Thanks for watching.

  • @joehandsome99 whats the good beginner plane?

  • @joehandsome99 ther super cub is way to expensive

  • would u recommend this over a nitro plane for intermediate flyers i fly strictly nitro but am curiouse what your opinion is =) i like watching airplane videos=P im sure more had this question

  • @christeankei This is a fun micro plane. I like it because it can be flown in my yard, no need to run off to a large field for this one.

  • @christeankei all i can say is that its a REAL hassle driving 3 hours for EVERY flight

  • I have both and I have to say I'm PO'ed cause the stock batt that came with my p51 was faulty and made my p51 wreck! Just go the sukhoi right now and I have to say IT IS VERY RESPONSIVE and not for the novice but I love all parkzone hobby products. Happy Flying!

  • @sinr1one sorry to hear that. Thanks for watching.

  • do u know if u can bind the the stryker 27-c transmitter to this plane. i have a stryker but its so fast i have to go to the park 15 miles away to fly it so i was looking for a slow flyer for my backyard and if i buy the b-n-f i could save 30$ over the mustang r-t-f

  • you cant bind the controller because it is not a dsm 2.4 controller

  • what do you like better, the sukhoi or the p 51, because i have the p 51 and i really love it but i wanted to know how the sukhoi was.

  • is this a good plane to learn how to do aerobatics? cuz I'm quite good at flying, and have a hobbyzone firebird phantom 3ch, and want to move to the next level. So, is this the one, or maybe a different plane?

  • how much is each battery

  • @epicman97 only about 8$ i have 3 of them for my p-51

  • i fly helicoters but i like to try planes to so i decided to get a cheap beginner palne!so what shoud i get???

  • @themagichomie there really is no ceap beginner plane because beginner planes should be big and very stable, my beginner plane was the supercub lp its a great plane but its around 200$, but i just got the mini p-51d that is the same size and does all the same stuff and it was hard to fly at first, so i wouldn't recommend this plane for beginners

  • just got one =D its a bit hard to get used to alerons since ive never had them before(i used ember 2 controller)

  • Thats good to know. Thanks for sharing.

  • I would not call this a 3D plane as it can not hover? it will do rolls and fly inverted and i can even do rolling circles with mine and knife edge can be done with a little work, plane will not hover though other then that a great little plane.

  • Its decent for it's size even though it cant hover. Thanks for watching.

  • DOH!!

  • Whats that supposed to mean?!

  • lol,,,

  • Those are some great ideas. We just got one and I fell in love with it. It is extremely touchy. We have the DX6e, is there any way that we can slow it down a little bit?We also have it on low rate.

  • Thanks for watching.

  • will this bind to my blade msr transmitter?

its an 4ch e-flite spectrum transmitter

  • this is what makes me wanna get the DX6i. you can get this plane for so cheap. and also many others!!!! BNF is a great idea some ppl came up with

  • Yep the bnf is great.

  • Eric, Excellant and helpul review...especially the little tricks to make the stock plane more durable. Well done, and good videoing! I love the little P-51 PZ has now, and hope they expand this line. A $100 cool airplane is a buy.

    Dave - Kansas City

  • I have the P51 also and like the power it has over the sukhoi. Plus the scale looks of a classic warbird is great also.

  • Awesome video man! Thinking of getting one of these for christmas to spark my interest in 3d again.

  • Great. Christmas is right around the corner.

  • Hi!

Thanks for the video! Was wondering, I own 2 Vapors. Ready to move up. Between Sukhoi and micro Mustang, which is funner to fly for you?

  • I think more fun is the Sukhoi, cuz it's better for 3D flying

If u want to fly slowly and scale the p51 is better for u, but u can also fly 3d with it

  • Both are equally fun. Depends on your point of view. The P51 has scale looks so that is a plus for me, but the sukhoi has a better roll rate due to wing position.

  • hi how slowly will this fly could it be flown easily in a small hall ?

  • hey eric will this plane work with the lp5dsm controler from the cx2 heli copter? thanks...

  • I am not sure. I know that Tx will work with the vapor so I would tend to think so.

  • ok thanks man! im getting that plane it looks like it can fly really well...im looking foward to one...

  • i snapped my wing catching mine in the wind a couple days ago. blew into my chest and i crushed it lol... a little tape and i changed the batt and went right back up... great plane...

  • It is a fun plane. The micro P51 is also a blast.

  • This is a great flying plane. I Love mine, even off my mini aircraft launcher, with floats. 5 stars. Good review.

  • Thanks kindly Dave. I wanted to try that launcher too. Maybe next time.

  • could it do loops

  • Yes it will loop

  • You must have gotten lucky. Everyone elses including mine is nose heavy. the plane wasn't mad well at all. putting the battery anywhere but all he way back makes it impossible to fly. I even cu that piece you put tape over on the bottom front off.(long foam piece) Inverted mine dives and i use lots of elevator just to keep it flying level... Wonder why you didn't have this problem...

  • Thats interesting and I have heard that before. I will try adding some clay and fly it that way. Thanks

  • can i use my Futaba T8Fg transmitter for thish plane ?

  • I doubt it. The JR 9303 will work with it though.

  • Hi, Eric. Take a look at the tail motor prop adapter from the e-flite cp pro plus heli. The adapter will go right on your propshaft, allowing you to use far better suited props (smaller more efficient GWS prop) it make a HUGE difference in performance. And now you easily and quickly change broken props. And GWS props are $.39!

Awesome video as always, 5 stars!!!

  • Thanks Ron. I will definately have to look into that. Heading to the hobby shop tomorrow.

  • Can it hover?

  • Not really. It lacks the power for a true hover.

  • Nice vid, as always !! ;)

  • Thanks

  • How long on one battery? That's what I love about minis, they can take more of a beating. What might be a catastrophic crash with a larger scale plane isn't with minis.

  • I get around 5-7 minutes a flight.

  • Awesome vid !!!!! 5Stars !!!!!

  • Thanks kindly

  • No problem, your welcome Eric !

  • Comment removed

  • That was a great review and some good tips also.

  • Thanks Steve

  • Great review Eric!

    Keep it up ;)

  • Thank you.

  • Great video Eric. Did you use dual rates on your radio? If so what rates did you use.

  • I tried dual rates at 50% but went back to full rates. The ailerons are a little touchy, but I like it that way.

  • Great little plane Eric and the mods are spot on my friend,i tryed flying my little space ship thing i won off you and Greg from your other r/c channel but we just haven't had the weather and i've had no luck with flying it indoor ;-( but i will keep trying ;-) so thanks for that and keep up the great work mate=5*

  • I have one of the UFO's and it is a fun little RC toy. Thanks for watching.

  • tish plane is so cool

  • Great video Eric, those are some heavy mods!hahah. I love your vids you keep things very simple! I can't wait to get me one of those babies and the new msr or whatever that thing is called :) 5*

  • Thanks for watching and the comment Tom.

  • just watched the end. Very nice flight too :)

  • Thanks kindly.

  • ugh.... lol i need that title affect, the 3d one, when's your next contest... hahahaaha!

loved the tail skid, and the tape on the front, but what about the prop? surely you gotta be off when it lands, but what if it was vertical when it landed, gonna break? what about a wire skid for the front? maybe wing tips? or would that throw it all squirrely?

  • I've landed many planes this way. Yes, the power needs to be off just before touch down. Not sure about the wire skids on the wings. I have been landing my P51 just by ploping it basically.

  • Eric,

Where is the CG at on your plane? I find that even with the battery back at the end of the slot, it is still very nose heavy. Ive seen a few videos where they added a small washer to the tail to move the CG aft.

Adding weight is the last thing that it needs... its a PIG! Crazy under powered.

  • Read back through the comments as Igottalongone has some good ideas about getting more performance from the stock motor.

  • I was about to say it is a shame more people didn't watch this video... I didn't realize at first it was just put up today :) I love my sukhoi! It is a little nose heavy and has some problem doing upright loops, but it can do them. Inverted flight, rolls, and other aerobatics are easy on this thing(as long as you know how to fly). Great little plane! Thanks for the good review!

  • Weird that you like the battery farther forward... Mine is already nose heavy(I actually have 2, both nose heavy the same). Even with the battery to the way back, I need to have my elevator trimmed a little over/elevated to keep the nose straight. If I put the battery any farther forward, it would just dive without TX input. I also added a push tack to the tail to even out the CG, and with that, it does loops a little easier.

  • Sounds like you are having a good time with it just like me. Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • 10TH COMMENT!

  • Looks like fun Eric!

  • Lots of fun. Thanks for watching.

  • hey i think u should try n prop hang it that would b cool 2 watch

  • nice

  • Thanks.

  • can it hover?

  • Not really, I lacks the power for a true hover.

  • what is a 3d plane

  • a plane that can do aerobatic maneuvers that most full scale planes cant e.g. hover, rolling circles, etc.

  • It means it can do things that a normal aircraft cannot such as waterfalls, prophanging, etc.

By the way what is the power to weight like on this joe in the prop hang, does it have plenty of power to pull out? And whats knife edge like?

  • Very impressive.

  • Thank you

  • why do most of the parkzone planes have the holes in the bottom of the fuse? to decrease weight? i would think it would just increase drag

  • To stick your finger in them to hand Launch easier.

  • i'm pretty sure it's for venting for the letronics

  • To allow air flow to keep the motor and electronics cool.

  • thats neat!!

  • Sure is. thanks for watching.

  • I seen this at the local shop two weeks ago. and didnt realy take time to look at it. watchign your video now .. I am sure this will be a good little add to my collection.

    Thanks for sharing Eric.

    GET OUT and FLY!!
