as a result that means that a supposedly strengthening component- fancy studs could cause seizures etc! insane but good to know; I bet if I said to only rebore my engine when loaded with such bracing etc I would be looked at like I was satan himself!

Absolutely fantastic video! Thank you so much for illustrating this effect. I had no idea that cylinder blocks could distort so much and this gives me a whole new perspective on a number of important issues, especially how rebuilds have to be done correctly!
