  • i have just done this method with mig pigment powder and it hasnt completely stuck on, do i just repeat the process with the rubbing alcohol?

  • @bearinarms it all depends on how much pouder you want on and you put on. the alcohol will wash away a litt with the alchol so if you wantged more then yes do another coat of power. But becareful on varnishing it...that will cover up the power and it may not be the look you are looking for.

  • this intro song is awesome

  • mold lines on the back exhaust pipes, kill it with fire!!!

  • i can't find rubbing alcohol and i can only find turpentine substitute will this work ok?

    great vid btw!

  • Great vid, thanks for sharing!

  • the start "hello everybody and welcome to"....sounds like a guy that makes vids about Magic the gathering......

  • Thanks for the advice I'll look now!

  • Thanks this is of great help! Anyway you should work for 'eavy metal Ive seen your 'how to paint blood angel veterans' and its great! How did you get the orange into the bottle as well

    Thanks for your time

    MrRabidcat

  • Rubbing Alcohol is getting hard to find , you can also use Turpentine though, big bottle for pennys :)

  • cool vid how much did the pigment cost and is only from the website u can buy it from?

  • @MrRabidCat The pigmet it self is not that much...you can find real cool ones at secret weapon...they now make all the washes and such from Awesome paintjob.

  • yeah, uh, i'm making a chaos army that worships nurgle. my color scheme is rusted base with a tarnifhed iron trim, and i need something that takes less steps. any tips?

  • @eezokk base coat a brown color. then was with a light back wash. Bry Brush the crap out if with a green and it should look real ggood IMO.

  • @Natakue yaaaaaaaaaaaay! it looks great! thank you!

  • MOLLLLLLLDD LINESSSS arghhhh

  • what's it man...that rust is so poor...use TURPENTINE RECTIFIED...

  • Excellent vid. Thanks for posting

  • Why would one want to make ceramite armour look rusty when it simply cannot rust? Whaaaa.

  • @legionincorruptible Ths was just to show you how to weather metal. I used this figure as a test model.

  • @legionincorruptible Because some people like to experiment with modelling without being restricted by the 40K lore? Perhaps its not made of ceramite perhaps its based in reality?

  • thank you so much

  • i cnat find the paint on the web site

  • @EVairsoft well he no longer sells the powder...but you can get them by doing a search for Mig weathering powdwrs.

  • this is sweet

  • Rusty Dreadnaughts don't seem very fluffy to me :c

  • What about spraying a matt sealing coat on the pigment instead of using alchohol? I like'd how it looked before the alchohol was added.

  • @ZatoichiBlindSword That would work just fine.

  • @ZatoichiBlindSword The alcohol evaporates, it wouldn't stay gloss.

  • Alrighty...lol

  • I breathed in some of those fumes... I had a discussion about quantum physics with a very educated giraffe afterward...

  • Awesome stuff- I was using the powders as a sort of 'precision wash' but this method looks much faster!

  • can rubbing alcohol keep the rust on the model?

  • @tf269369 what it does is set the color. Once you varnish it the th rust will stay.

  • @Natakue cool! thanks :)

  • fuck the color codex, paint the stuff pink if you want, he bought it with his own money.

  • No to be blood angels it has to be red. This figure is orange...not red. It a chapter that I created my self.

  • flase original BA's from way back when had a reddish orange look to them so Blood angels can technically be orange, but then you can say that not all red or orage armies are bloodangels mrmewtwo

  • yes but there is a blood angels spilt off chapter thats colour sceme is orange.

cant remember what there called though

  • @MrMewtwo213

i personally think it looks pretty good

  • @MrMewtwo213 You obviously didn't watch the video before you posted.

  • Nice video. Could you do one on how to paint skin tones. I am having a problem getting my skin to look right for my Imperial Guard.

  • well my next H2P vid is going to be on the IG so I will show you then if that is ok.

  • LOL, thanks for the reply. I posted before the end of your video announcing IG. Thanks again & I look forward to the IG series.

  • Aloha....1:13 .Predator? or Dreadnought? or is that the name of ur dread... Awesome vid though...

    Great Job...

  • @rudebwoy808 opps a slip of the tongue...its a dread.

  • Wow that seems pretty quick and easy!

  • great vid, will have to try this some time

  • great seiries man have a good new year and all but just a wuick one i thing the red armour should also be weather because just the wepons makes it look weird but i still like the model

  • @Number1GamerAsh Yeah I was thinking the same thing...I just wanted to do a vid on how to use the pigments. I may do the armor as well.

  • arr cool well i look forward to more vid im loving these h2p's as i got some pigments from forge world and i thought they were pants but i was obiously using them wrong THANKS A TON !!

  • i think if it wasn't a dreadnought it probably would have come across much better

  • nice work bro. safe

  • You should do a How2Paint tau vid, i've only just started with tau and to be honest, i'm rubbish with them! I used to paint 'Nids so i'm more of an organic painter.

  • Happy New Year!

    Peace-Out:)

  • does rubbing alcohol work like a varnish and if so does it work on metal models???

  • @sundragon35 No it just sets the pigment. How im not sure but it does. You could use a varnish with out the alcohol and you would geta dust like look. That would be good if youw anted the figure to look dirty.

  • oh do yo know any good varnish that dont make him shiny because i just painted snikrot for the orks and i dont want any paint chipping off him but i dont want him to be shiny

  • @sundragon35 well i use the GW brand but that can is just way to pricie for me right now. so once I run out I my self will have to look for another can. I have heard the krylon makes a nice matt varnish but im not sure yet.

  • thanks for the quick reply and help liking the how to's by the way keep it up man
