these are called alpine slides generally. to get back up, there is a ski lift and they have hooks on them to carry the carts up. I dont know about these but I know that the fiberglass ones arnt too good, i wiped out really bad on one and stil have scars

@sorryibrokethetrees Only in America would this be an issue. You have sue happy people here for every lil thing. But yes, it's very fun. It's actually really safe too. They updated it around 1995 to this metal version. Before it was made of concrete and went much faster, and a lot of people actually did fly out going to fast. Now they are just too slow for me :/

Thats cool, I live in Derbyshire UK and we went to an outdoor dry ski slope local, i really cant remember where it was but they had one of these, was called a dry tobbogan slide. The one I went on was much faster tho and you did have to brake for some corners or you would come off. I got booted off by the guy running it as I didnt brake at the bottom and crashed into the parked sleds and sent em off the track to the amusement of me and my mates! Looking back he probably had a Job lifting em all!

It's not hard. The car doesnt have to be steered, it's designed to stay in the tracks. You have a gas bar to push down, but gravitiy does all the work. You don't have to brake at all, but there are some scared people.. It's no fun going slow on this

in the past, it was much easier to fly out. with these new red carts its much more unlikely. The old carts were much faster, black in color, and much easier to fly out off, although i never did. lol
