  • He is very very gifted!

  • I hate playing like this no groove, mindless constant fills,...FAIL

  • @cast390 This competition has a 1 minute time limit on each performance. We tried to crunch as much as we could into a minute. If you are a drummer you know how difficult that is. Check out other videos on this drummer that show his full range. He site reads set music and plays traditional / contemporary jazz, gospel, rock, r&b, latin and a host of other styles. By far, he is not your average drummer, Enjoy!

  • wow this kid is good and im getting the alesis DM10 not pro kit :) the drum kit sounds awsome!

  • As a drummer for 46 years myself, I'm good at what I do, but yes, this young man is positively SCARY with his ability. I can only imagine how good he'll be in another 10 or 20 years. BUT...as one other writer said, stage presence means EVERYTHING. Not acknowledging the audience and walking away pulling your pants up is NOT good showmanship. Get that part down and you'll have the audience eating out of your hands, I guarantee it.

  • @budwick5750, besides the physical layout of the dm10 studio kit what changes did they Make? I get mine tomorrow. Hopefully they don't send me the old version.

  • Next... showmanship. You don't just leave the stage while pulling your pants up. You face the audience and bow and carry yourself correctly. Don't give drummers a thug vibe.

  • @wendileona In this competition they were instructed to enter and leave the stage Without Hesitation! If you look closely when the camera goes back to the announcer, the other act is already RUNNING on stage! The pulling up your pants thing didn't look good, but he knows that 'sagging' is not an option for him. Thank you for the constructive advice! We are always looking at becoming better.

  • wow that was a good solo.(lil prodigy)

  • I wonder why used e-drum for this show. O well, doesn't really matter.

    GREAT F*CKIN PERFORMANCE.

  • @ransisua He is endorsed by Alesis Electronic Percussion and they provided equipment support throughout this week-long international competition. He doesn't have an accoustic kit sponsor yet and transporting an accoustic kit by plane would have been a nightmare and costed an arm and a leg!.

  • They've actually basically re-released the kit. I was having problems with my kit when I first got it where it'd do phantom hits and stuff. But I sent it in and got a new one and I'm having absolutely no problems with it now. They even changed the physical way it was put together so it's actually sturdier now as well.

  • They are probably the best intro level drums on the market. I recently played some $4,000 Rolands at the local Guitar Center and I like mine better because of the feel they have. The Roland kit sounded a little better, but not much better, especially for the money.

  • At the end of fast drum roll the #2 crash doesn't always trigger. Fast continuous rolls on one drum for too long can make the sound cut out. Sometimes when I hit the snare with the #2 crash, neither trigger. tThere is also a bit of cross-talk at times. I was aware of these issues before I bought the set. Overall, it's worth the money. They do sound very good and these issues aren't a big deal unless I was playing out or recording with the drums. I doubt you will regret buying them.

  • I just bought my DM10 Studio kit and it's a great kit for the money. This kid is making them sound like real drums! You can get some good sounds from them, but finding the right type of drum amplifier is where the challenge is. I can tell you guitar amps don't work well. You need a system with stereo speakers for drums I think. They sound great in my headphones though. Definitely recommend this set if you don't want to spend a lot of money. The kit does have a few glitches though.

  • @cbr1000drummer what glicthes are there mate i just orderd my dm10 studio??

  • I sure hope you guys (Alesis) have sponsored this kid and givin him a free tricked out DM10 because he just got another one sold for you. I have been looking for somebody playing/demo'ing this kit that actually had chops but I keep seeing these demo vids with dried up old country rock wanna be soul players. Thats good and all but you have differnet demographics of potential customers to consider. This kid blew any DM10 video on youtube out of the Water and made my mind up.

  • @RepoLife Furthermore you need to bring him in and film him for an official DM10 Demo Vid

  • @RepoLife That's my son Isaiah and he is sponsored by Alesis. Thank you for the kind words, and we hope that you are enjoying your Alesis Kit as much as Isaiah is enjoying his. Be Blessed!!

  • Yeah ma'an. He's real tight.

Check out my vids for a more close up look at what the dm10 can do. Alesis! When am I getting a sponsor deal?! Lol

  • Dang!

That kit sounds nice. I'm thinking about getting one. Much more affordable than the Roland kits.

  • Pfff I'm so sad, he is maybe 10 years younger than me, and is already a god ...

    What a skilled drummer !
