Sean Connery set the tone for the series early on with his subtle blend of dry humor and toughness. George Lazenby lived in the moment and was a rather underrated 007. Roger Moore brought comedic charm to the role. Timothy Dalton was perhaps the most serious, hard-edged Bond, and finally, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have both brought a "human quality" into 007.
for me this one was the best. I felt as if i was interacting with the movie, it's just so fun. Like the Nevada desert and going up on that big elavator to blofeld and felt like I WAS JAMES BOND
Sean Connery set the Bond standards. Roger Moore I didn't care for at all except Moonraker and the spy who loved me. The guy in On her Majesty Secret Service where did they dig him up? Timothy I thought was alright but I didnt get into the films. Pierce was awesome. Daniel Graig....
the older bonds are so much better than the daniel craig rubbish of today!! the last real bond film was die another day in my opnion and sean connery is the original and best james bond :)
@glenw89 You could not be more right about that I can not stand the 2006- present Bond films plus I also thought that the last real Bond film was Die Another Day as well!
@thattaityguy:I think you are right.Diamonds is one of Connery's if not one of the worst Bond films ever.A view to a kill had a rather tired looking Roger Moore.
Die Another Day had an invisible car.Enough said :D
@VINAYBAR I always thought that Connery phoned in this performance. His performance in this is nothing compared to from russia with love. At least in View to a kill and die another day, the Bond actually put in a good effort even if the script writers didnt
@thattaityguy: Brosnan was quite good in DAD. Moore in VTAK,I felt, looked really tired and his one-liners seemed to lack that charm which they had in the earlier films. Octopussy wasn't that great either.Maybe Moore should have quit after For Your Eyes Only.
@thattaityguy I don't know. I remember the first time I saw DAF and liking it. but not I see it and it seems too hoky sometimes. plus he started to show his age. By the time he did NSNA he was really looking old. as for AVTAK and DAD I really enjoyed them. I found DAD interestingly different. and for AVTAK how can you not like chris walken as a bond villian?

Here's my take on the Bond actors:
Sean Connery set the tone for the series early on with his subtle blend of dry humor and toughness. George Lazenby lived in the moment and was a rather underrated 007. Roger Moore brought comedic charm to the role. Timothy Dalton was perhaps the most serious, hard-edged Bond, and finally, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have both brought a "human quality" into 007.

Is it just me, or were the last movies that Connery, Moore and Brosnan do really weak.
The hight point of this movie would probably be Blofeld dressing in drag. Very threatening

There was Connery and there was..... nothing.
There is only one Bond on the big picture screen, and everyone knows it. All others are pretending amateurs, and they know it!

Bond: Relax, I have a friend named Felix who can fix anything
Tiffany: Is he married?
WHY WOULD SHE ASK THIS!!
