  • @annetteTalas are you ignorant.....it's called an accent do you expect this child to speak American English? I wish ignorant ppl wouldn't comment.

  • It's great that new technologies are becoming available to them, but i hope they don't lose their culture and traditions as a result. Or at least not too much of it.

  • Poor gramma.

  • beautiful masai girl

  • @Buggie123 God Bless you too!!! Love: Beautiful PROUD African

  • @Buggie123

Be humble because you do not know what the next life has in store for you.,.you might be blessed to come back as one of them...You dont choose the color of your skin or where you were born..I suspect that you stink of arrogance and ignorance.

  • The above video response was created to shed light upon the current drought conditions in Kenya. In the midst of the Rift Valley, the people most endangered are the Maasai and 16 children of an orphanage.

  • This is a very inspirational story that gives hope to everyone out there no matter what you are doing with your life

  • that is the spirit maasai girl...... i will always hunt for u.... i go to school here too.

  • So, I definitely know how you feel. By the way, while you are in a foreign country, some people may try to change you, because they want you to be their culture. Don't let them. Understand you have a culture and a way of acting that is like no other race or culture on the earth. Don't let them tell you your ways are bad, unless you are hurting somebody - not culture. Just be who you are without harming other people, because you are only practicing your culture. Nothing wrong with that! EVER!

  • I feel for you, girl, about your grandmother being worried about you losing your culture. I remember when I was offered a trip to a foreign country when I was 22, my parents were really worried about me going, because they were afraid I would lose my culture. When I came home, my parents were so worried that I let the culture in the country naively change me that my mom started criticizing me in a restaurant just because I looked away from her while talking to her. I'm European-American.

  • This so reminds me of me , you go girl!

  • this is great. if you like it you may like these kids. look up maasai music project. thier on facebook too.

  • This should definitely become a movie.

  • it is not maasai who need educations - they have got knowledge they need to live, the education is a tool of globalizing cultures (assimilating cultures in the global world).

  • This is a very inspiring story about making an impact in the community!!! I love my country Kenya so much with its reach culture!!!

  • Beautiful people!

  • This should be a real difference that shall be aspired by all Maasai youngsters. This lady has been a good example and we must follow. Culture should be respected, YES, but should give other opportunities to comeover and change the people. I like this move. Keep it up my sister.

  • Not a spear or a shield to give her daughter, she sends her to America with a pen and paper. Beautiful. I hope that education can continue to be encouraged, and that it can be harmonious with the Massai culture.

  • Oh my God! wish all could come out of such primitiveness life and shine and bring the light back home. that's great and big up for Ledama and the rest.

  • BEAUTIFUL GIRLS! Thats for sure! Its just too sad how such beutiful people are born in such UNFORTUNATE situations. Instead of haters hating on people, they should thank God for having what they have, an opportunity in life that most haters dont take advantage of!

  • Wow, this just goes to show you how much american children take for granted. Oprah was right when she made that statement about, "ipods and sneakers".

  • @thesoccerboy20 And how is that?

  • @dadoh10 all that african languege stuff

  • @thesoccerboy20 And what's wrong with the language "stuff"? Isn't English also a foreign language to some? But the question should be, why are you bothered so much that i commented in an African language?

  • @dadoh10 becuase africans and asians have the funniest languege out of everybody

    awawa

  • @thesoccerboy20 Well laugh it all up coz you just made yourself look really ignorant.

  • @dadoh10 HAHAHA i speak english so it dont matter for me i dont speak kunta kinte languege

  • @thesoccerboy20 If it didn't matter to you why did you come at me in the 1st place?

  • @thesoccerboy20 Thank you for your comment, with its many grammatical and spelling errors. You are a brilliant example of what wasted opportunities to educate oneself can produce. An ignorant. The opposite of that Masai girl.

So, thanks for giving us such an easy comparison. Cheers! :)

  • @taknidentity1 um its the fuqn internet this shit aint gotta be correct and if i dont like them zulus then i just dont fuqn like them
