  • Yeah this game was way too easy compared to the old ones. I never thought I would appreciate dying 54 times before getting a level. I literally am like half way through the game and only died 1 time from throwing up.

  • good honest opinion, good review

  • Are you Dutch or something? That voice e.o

  • @Jiyaijo I am.

  • @abduelsayed If you reason from the assumption that this is primarily aimed towards children, then I can see that irony as well.

What I said about the difficulty, was more meant as a relative measure compared to previous games in the series.

  • i dident smell for 600 moons

    fresh trousers XD

  • Are you going to review Crack in Time? It's a bit more of a challenge i think. At least at the harder difficulty...

  • @rthijssen84 To be honest, I haven't picked that one up yet. Just so many games to go through still! But I should really do that soon, and play through Quest for Booty, but that one at least is short :)

The higher difficulty sounds nice for sure!

  • love this review

  • @paridisegrowth Thanks!

  • Hey HBG do you enjoy RPGs? if you do what game is your favorit,if you dont like RPGs then why?

  • @frejden I do like RPGs very much. It's hard to point towards one favorite in that genre too, as there are many great RPG games out there and I can enjoy both Japanese and Western RPGs. Although I do tend to like games with a strong narrative and less openness, so I'm more likely to take a Final Fantasy over an Elder Scrolls game, but I still greatly enjoy both series.

  • @HalfBlindGamer okej cool! thx for taking the time and answering. I too like an RPG with a good story. I just started playing Nier and i most say im imprest. you should try it. its very open world and alot of grinding but if you can look past it theres a great story. just so you know:)

  • @frejden Thanks for the recommendation! I might check it out! It looks like it could be fun for sure!

  • Great review! I look forward to more modern reviews. Will you be trying out A Crack in Time? It's already had a price drop here in the States

  • @MainstreamGamer Thanks! Hope to have another one up tonight actually :)

I do intend to get A Crack in Time eventually, but for now I've got a couple of other games to work through first :) I still want to play Quest for Booty too, haven't touched that one yet :(

  • Great quality! It would look even better if you got rid of the black on the top and bottom. Great review!

  • @TheUnbiasedGamer Thanks, I'll try and figure out how I can get rid of those. Didn't even notice them at first!

  • @HalfBlindGamer I'm not sure what video editor your using but if you are using sony vegas or virtualdub there's an option for cropping. I use virtualdub and just crop the black bars out.

  • great review as always:)

  • @mjxbox Thanks a lot!

  • Great Review

  • @Jordancooldog Thanks a lot! Glad you liked it :)

  • Love this game =D You have a PSN account?

  • @RawkLobsterftw Yeah I do, don't do to much with it though. PSN name is Kelsior, same for Xbox Live.

  • thats was a good review,l liked it alot, well done!

  • @theshak06 Thanks a lot man!

  • Excellent review! It makes a change from your other reviews.

  • @8BitROB Thanks a lot man, yeah it's something totally different for a change :)

  • Great review seb, i might have to take this down off my shelf and dust it off now after seeing this. lol never did get around to completing it :)

  • @nosworc Thanks a lot! I had a lot of fun with it and actually started the challenge mode right after I finished the first run. Something that's really rare for me to do lol.

  • great review, the latest one the completes the series is so much better

  • @ProjectReality64 Thanks man, I'll be checking that one out for sure!

  • It's kinda weird to see you doing a PS3 review but I like it!

  • @TheAtariJunkie Haha, thanks! It was kind of weird to do something completely different, but it was fun too. I'm all over the place lol.

  • "Fresh trousers?" Best line ever!

The game does look nice, but Im getting worried that the games are becoming a bit too combat heavy. This one doesnt seem AS filled with combat as.. like the third game for the ps2. This game looks really varied, with platforming and shooter-stages. Nice!

  • @TanukiKGA Well, to be honest, the game is more oriented towards shooting stuff than platfroming here. I do understand what you mean, the weapons get a bit to much focus compared to some skillful, old fashioned, running and jumping. In this game you also start out with pretty much all the moves, which I found a bit of a shame. It's no where nears as combat oriented as Gladiator though...

  • I loved this game all the ratchet and clank games are awesome i cant put them down.

  • @amurphy245 Cool! Yeah, they are really fun and enjoyable, just love the series as a whole.

  • very nice review, great job, look forward to more

  • @Ready03 Thanks a lot man! Will happily make more :)

  • Really nice review. I'd like to see more of these. Your capture quality is really good too. I'm jealous.

  • @DlNKYDANA Thanks Dinky, glad you liked it and I'd love to do more for sure! The quality does look pretty sweet, but heck, you have nothing to be jealous of, your gameplay footage always looks excellent as well.

  • I have not played much PS3 but the Sixaxis always has seemed to be broken and hard to control. I hope that wand that Sony is planning to release works better as motion control goes. I had a logitech controller like in 2002 that had 3 axis controls and those 3 seemed to work better than the PS3 controller has been for me. But still it might be the game programming and not the fault of the controller hard to say. Marvel Ultimate Alliance dodging was the height of annoying six axis for me.

  • @AxiomofDiscord I had such a Logitech controller too, Wingman it was called I think? That thing was really responsive, and a bit oversensitive for me haha. This is the first game I actually try the Sxiaxis on and being used to the Wii I was a bit skeptical at first, but it worked out surprisingly well. Didn't run into any problems really. It might be the programming as you said. Let's see how Sony does with their Move, I'm not to exited really, I just rather hold a controller, but that's just me

  • @HalfBlindGamer cool maybe if i get to a ps3 got nothing where i am staying now ... I'll rent this game and see and to be fair i love Nintendo but some games work better than ever with that controller they got and some feel extremely forced.

Innovations are often over used to the point of seeming gimmicky sad but almost always true

    Aberran

  • Excellent review.. Too bad my newest gaming console is N64, otherwise I would probably buy this! I guess I'll stick to Goldeneye and Banjo-Kazooie,,,

  • @Logdotzip Thanks man, and with those games, you've still got a lot of quality. Much better than most that is released these days! Although this game is pretty cool.

  • @HalfBlindGamer True, but they sort of lose their luster after beating them roughly 80 thousand times ;)

  • @Logdotzip lol yeah once you can dream a game towards completion it's about time to move on to a new challenge ;)

  • Great to see more non-cdi reviews, also great game to start with. Will you review Quest for Booty? The plumber is really cool because in the original series he's played by the Janitor from Scrubs, love that show! Now he is played by Jess Harnell, who among other roles, is famous for voicing Wakko Warner from Animaniacs, i love that show too!

  • @wariofan14 Thanks a lot man! I'm not sure if I'll do Quest for Booty, but I might if I can fit it in. Got two other games lined up first though.

I didn't recognize Wakko's voice in it at all, that's pretty cool info and a from cool show indeed, thanks!

  • Great review and the footage you took looks awesome too!. Top quality!, I look forward to future reviews like this one.

  • @RetroGameTech Thanks a lot man! Glad you liked it, I'm looking forward to doing more for sure!

  • Nice review! I may buy this game now.

  • @Jacesfaces Thanks a lot man! The game can be had for pretty cheap these days and it's totally worth it!

  • I absolutely adored the original series. I still have a few of the later fragmented titles of the series to get like the stand alone Agent Clank game. Reminding me that there is a Ratchet and Clank title on PS3 makes me want to get one now. I totally forgot about it. But again, I adored playing through the original games on the PS2 with their rich environments and really amazing character and weapons. Unbelievably good series.

  • @youtubasoarus I'm with you on that! It was one of the few games I really wanted for the PS3 in its beginning months. The original games are some of my favorite games on the PS2, just good fun and great gameplay!

  • Great review the video quality looks great.

  • @Donaldv2 Thanks a lot!

  • Excellent job!! I look forward to more modern game reviews!!

  • @dave4shmups Thanks a lot! I'll do my best :)

  • awesome review im loving how the game looks more like up your arsenal than the other games have recently

  • @anthony51266 Thanks a lot man! Glad you enjoyed it and I agree, it really does feel a lot like Up Your Arsenal, which was an awesome game. Gladiator was kinda meh... Never played the PSP ones, nor the PS2 ports of those.

  • Great review dude, the footage looked really good as well, just a little choppy in two parts, which I want to say those are from the same stage but I don't have the game so I have no clue xD.

  • @Yuriofwind Thanks a lot man! You are right that those two parts are from the same level (and same recording). Not sure what went wrong with that one, it seems to be messed up in the recording itself too, pretty weird! Maybe my PC was doing something else there so it dropped some frames. Will have to look out for that in future video's. Thanks for the feedback man, much appreciated!
