  • I just traded my hot rod 79 camaro for a 2005 cbr f4i 600 and love it! has 5586 miles on it.

  • How well does it run with so many miles on it? I've heard that people start losing power after about 50k.

  • @ThaBR33D

It runs like a dream.... still smooth as glass and plenty of power. Up to just over 197,000 miles now and going strong as ever.... take care of them and they will last!

  • Damm that's crazy, congratulations on hitting 100k, those F4i's are very good bikes. How many miles you got on her now? Are you the original owner?

  • Thanks!! F4i's are without a doubt rock solid bikes... I know mine has never once let me down or left me stranded anywhere, 19 states and counting! She's up to right around 173,500 miles now, still on original motor and still runs like new! I am indeed the original owner, bought new 10-17-04 with 3 miles on the clock, so she just turned 5 years old last saturday. No complaints with this bike... she's treated me VERY well!

  • how often where you changing oil/trans fluid factory manual spec?

  • I change it every 5000 miles with Mobil 1 10w-40 full syn

  • i have a 07 r1 .. i had it for 1 year and got 10k miles on it, i do my service every time. what is the life on ur average motorcycle? i know trucks and car can go 200k but wat about motorcycles

  • depends a lot how you use it and who build it. I know that best cars can go over 1 M miles (like big diesel engine Mercedes) and in right use you can go even 200K with motorcycle. And when it looks like need of chancing piston and cylinder, just change those and so on. Probably and definitely for lifetime

  • Anyone have have an opinion between a CBR600 and F4i reliability / maintenance wise. I know the CBR is more pricey, faster, better suspension and race oriented. But I would like to know if they are both equally reliable since their Honda's but its because ive never seen a CBR with high mileage compared to the F4i which my friend has 50K and another 40K and still strong. I only ask this because Iam deciding for my new bike and prefer a reliable machine than horsepower.

  • now i have hope in my 03 CBR 600 F4i 19,000 mi.

  • Just take care of it and it'll return the favor and last a long long time

  • i guess my bike won't see 100,000 mi. Riding to work through one of the canyons by my house and got run off the road by a car going too fast coming over the double yellows into my lane. Bike is totaled, RIP honda

  • damn i was always wondering how long they last i have a 02 r6 with 11,600 and i thought about getting a new one but i believe im fine for a few more years thanks to you... keep on riding man and keep us posted have you ever had to do any serious maintiance since you bought it?

  • Only major repair was a trans problem at 117k, jumping out of 3rd gear. Ended up having to replace 2nd, 3rd, and 6th gears and the shift fork. Other than that though, just normal maintenance stuff. 2 regulator/rectifiers, manual CCT, a speed sensor and a clutch cable are pretty much the only repairs. Then just oil changes, fork oil, valve adjustments, chain/sprockets, tires, etc.... that's it

  • Have you rebuild the engine at all?

  • Nope no rebuilds.... engine is 100% original

  • Dang then you take very good care of it.

It also shows Honda's great quality.

  • how hard were you getting on the bick taking off was that all it had or just cruising. Just wandering i am looking at a 2000 F4i with 15,000 miles.

  • You give hope to all of us - Thanks

    2003 f4i w/ 10,800 miles

  • Not a problem! I'd say you still got plenty of time left ;)

  • Some serious riding in only a few years. Congratulations! As much of a testament to the rider as the bike. Most all motorcycles (and certainly ALL Honda's) Will make that, and a whole lot more. Well done. Stay safe.

  • Thank you for the kind words!! :) I do my best to always be safe and ride responsibly, and ALWAYS wear full gear (leathers). I definitely love to ride, and do so each and every day. Bike just turned 4 years old on 10-17-08 (I bought it new 10-17-04 with 3 miles on the clock), and is currently at around 141,500 miles, and still ticking like a swiss watch! Just rode it 900 miles north from Atlanta, GA area where I live, up to Chicago, IL to visit family for thanksgiving. No problems whatsoever!

  • that is very cool

  • i have a 2001 with 13,000 genunie miles on it urs sounds excelent for 100,000 miles keep going !!!

  • Thanks!! She's about to turn 115,000 now, and still going strong and running like a champ ;)

  • O.k...Impressive! So, what kind of oil did you use and how often do you change your oil ?

  • I see you do not rotate engine at all on this video ... Is it because engine is almost died or because you stick to road rules?

  • You got a new bike.....post it on ebay for $4K after you put 6,000 more miles on it. HAHHAHA. I just think like a money maker, cant help it:)

  • wow. i thought my F4i had a lot (45k).

    nice work.

  • very nice
