  • is there a thrid lesson of this serie? Please Answer

  • whats does schivo mean

  • nice job, i just subscribed to your videos, just because they re funny as i am a native italian speaker.

just one thing..the italian you and your guests in the video speak is very 'southern accent/Sopranos like' (nothing wrong with it, as i am from the south myself), but you 'd better warn your students about it or they would think it is standard to speak that way.

  • Great job as always! : ) Joseph!!! Don't forget: my name is STE'fano, is not correct StefA'no!!!! Lol :D

  • Ciao mr. Giuseppe!! i love your videos, il italiano is very easy i guess because i can speak spanish and they are so similar languages and im learning a lot from your videos. thanks for making them!!! Ciao Ciao!!:)

  • "Mi scusi, come ti chiami" is not correct.

"Scusami (or just "scusa"), come ti chiami?" (informal)

"Mi scusi, come si chiama?" (formal)

  • @daron001

    My wife caught that too...

    Thanks for watching.

  • @ItalianLessons101

Thanks to you for your work!

  • In Italy What's your name is: COME TI CHIAMI?? and not: COME SI CHIAMA?

    I'm italian

  • @TechnoKillers Si dice "Come si chiama?" se è formale!

  • @TechnoKillers

Remember that I learned my Italian from books. Blame Houghton Mifflin, and all the other publishers of English/Italian books that were published in the 1990's or earlier.

  • That is a tough lesson. I mean specially because you actually are saying something different than the 'translation puts the rhythm out of wack and that makes it hard to remember or get all the vowels in. Specially the "What's your dogs name" in Italian is very hard for me.

  • @PuppyZwolle

My goal is to share with people the basics that I know. If you know the basics, and are trying, in my experience, Italians will happily help you, and overlook your mistakes.

  • @ItalianLessons101 I sure hope so. Would hate to go to an italian restaurant and order a pizza with sliced dog. ;^)

    Come to think of it.

This is a commercial to learn Italian. You'll love it:

  • I just want to get good enough on this to impress Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Monica Bellucci, or Melissa Satta, with my Italian!

  • @nezpercenathan

    A very noble cause...

    Thanks for watching.

  • uh, the tital says video 1

  • @Kryzoid

    Thanks

    I fixed it.

  • Good one :) the lesson is good I'm sure that anglophone will find it useful. I just wanted to tell you and to all those english/american ppl who want to learn italian is that italian is not as emphatic as english is. English causes big problems to italian people for this reason too, even though we can pronounce correctly an english word, we still give each word it's full stress making it sound "italianish" same goes for english people! you have to make it sound less and emphatic and more flat :)
