@nighrage - VERY good point :) IN India, the tendency for people who can afford 2 assemble a team and invest in a project is to simply do contract job for a foreign firm like EA rather than make a full product using local talent.

I don't buy the "INdia is a poor country" excuse because Ukraine is as poor as India and they 've churned up Metro 2033, Chernobyl Stalker etc. However, this Ghajni is a bold attempt in India...it is hard to find Indians who are into creating something new...

@xfya - I am hopeful too on that one. Thing is tho, u don't need mega game makers 2 make a good game. Metro 2033 was made in good ol' Ukraine. Issue w/ India is tho, is there r enthusiast w/ no money but SUPAR + ideas but then u have investors and VC's who think of nothing but short run profit. In US, u can find guys who'd invest in ideas, but in India, sadly u can't. This is why u don't see any novel IT works comin out of India.

Potential wise, India has enough IT resources to compete w/ EA
