For your "tons of gods" point, it could be possible that all the monotheistic religions could be worshipping the same god. Of course that could never be proven but it is just a though, being that over 50% of the world believes in some sort of monotheistic religion (or at least thats what I thought, that number should be close give or take).
For your second point, I don't necessarily think that god not showing up is a test, I think he won't appear because he believes in free will so much that he doesn't want to intervene, then again this is my opinion and we will never really know why he hasn't appeared in our life time. ( He did appear in the flesh, Jesus, and a second coming is planned).

That sounds ridiculous to me.

Every God had many characteristics (and as much as I admire pagan religions, I believe that their gods were still only fictional characters), but each one as you said had a different range of personality, Thor for example was an angry, destructive brute but Odin was all seeing and wise and all about the balance of the universe. It makes much more sense that one God that somehow possesses all traits and their opposites to the fullest extent, like TJ said.

It's an a lot more of an ethnic struggle than a religious one. Though the ethnic one is also pushing the religious to it's extremes.

I think that the Norse and ancient Greeks had the right idea on their deities, they knew that the world was a cruel place filled with injustice and horrible things and their gods reflected this, many if not all Norse and Greek gods were just as warlike and destructive as nature itself, so it would make more sense if they existed, but a single god who exhibits every trait to the fullest extent? That sounds ridiculous to me.

Just as a lot of British they are fighting. Same thing is going on with Basques in Spain who are also Catholic fighting Catholic Spaniards. It's an a lot more of an ethnic struggle than a religious one. Though the ethnic one is also pushing the religious to it's extremes.

A religion where you have to pin all the good AND bad on one god is just silly. I probably would have ditched religion a few years later if I'd been raised in Ancient Greece. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades make far more sense than God.

It reminds me that our god is forgiving and our relationship is built on faith. When the rain comes it can be the most powerful of foundations. Humans just need to be less stubborn and listen to eachothers ideas for once. Christians and atheists included.

In all honesty, this video is pure genius. My thoughts on religion are very similar. There's so many variations of religion, from individual religious with totally different beliefs (Like comparing Greek Mythology to Christianity) to smaller differences (Whether or not homosexuality is considered wrong) that i can't bring myself to side with one. I feel that religion a great unknown that us humans will never truly understand until our "time" comes

Most of you haven't even read a page from the Bible but you are quick to judge it and you feel like geniuses because you don't believe in God. I can't even begin telling you how way over your head the Bible is.
What happened to you when you were growing up that fill your hearts with so much hate? The comments here are really shocking. It's really difficult to not hate people like you but I have faith that most of you will eventually realize how foolish you have been and open your eyes.
