That being said, guitar hero IS good because they do put music out that most people, myself included, would not have heard or looked up if it wasn't for GH.

Also, there is the offchance that people will actually be motivated to PICK UP the instrument and learn how to play it themselves, which is exciting. Especially with the drums, they are very realistic to how you would play a real set.

I think its interesting that here is a very talented musician that is fine with the whole guitar hero thing thats going on...

as a guitar player, I don't perosnally like that people are picking up this plastic controller and playing and acting like the accomplished something because they spent 10 hours trying to get a perfect score on a song, where if they had been practicing on a real instrument it would have benefited them more.

of course not but their purpose, as they morello says in their interviews is to expose people to the injustices of "the machine" so to speak, but when he uses his fame for commercial purposes its a form of selling out to your fans in a sense, tell that to the ex drummer of Korn with his Calvin Klein ads, they're just not the band to do it for what they preach, if its Kiss fine they're the biggest sell-outs of all

It's Ibanez I believe. Can't remember the model type, but I recall him saying this guitar is designed to have a toggle switch, as in two volume knobs, toggle on the point, etc. Great guitar, love it.

Kramer Pacer body, with a hollowed out space so the Ibanez Edge Tremolo sysyem can go up and down. It has EMG single coil pickups in humbucker housing. he painted the hippo's on there and put the hammer and sickle sticker on there. He also wrote ARM THE HOMELESS. It has a kramer Carerra neck too.

People don't like Tom Morello because of his political views... I have the same political views and he is probably the most innovative guitar player in the past 20 years or so... He is my favorite by far and his music with Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave and as the Nightwatchman are amazing... He deserves to be known as a guitar hero! But to me...
