  • do this vs 22 ak

  • at my local gun shop they have it at 450 bucks. is it worth the money? my dad wants to get one but he thinks 450 is a little much. so far were looking at either this gun for 450 or the mossberg ar22 for 250 bucks....any suggestions

  • @bowhunter42995 Dont buy the mossberg. Look at the reviews all over the internet it is total crap. The M&P 15-22 is awesome. I just bought the MOE model for 500 shipped. It is a fun gun to shoot.

  • I like my 15-22 a lot! Last month I was shooting targets about 20 minutes out of Reno at this common shooting place. This man shows up with a beretta m9 and he began setting up his targets. He tells me how my gun is fit for women and children only. I asked if me shooting him in the leg wouldn't phase him then... He left me alone after that :-)

  • Just bought one of these last week. Man, we've gone through half a case of ammo already. Its a blast to shoot, very easy to control and pretty accurate.

  • I really wish this was a separate upper and lower......I also wish Judge Judy was the next president of the US.....ill shutup now.

  • Not saying these guns operate bad but they take all of the fun out of getting a .22lr. why buy one thats already decked out? customizing a ruger 10/22 is a blast. imo the m&p-15-22 goes against most of the reasons for getting a .22lr.

  • @FMJHollowPoint

red cars are lame, they take all the fun out of driving and they ruin it for the rest of the world who have to look at their lame car

  • @GunWebsites he is kinda right a ruger 10/22 is pretty fun... to cuztomize and all + if i was to get an AR it'd be in 223/556 or .308 just my 2 cents i don't really get the whole .22 lr AR thing just my opinnion...

  • Fun little gun. Shot one this past weekend. Waiting for my MR556A1 now.

  • Will it kill zombies?

  • i love mine dont have 1500 for a tactical ar15 so it is fun to use one day i will have the money to build a real ar

  • you say "Like an AR " is the M&P not really an AR?

  • PLEASE RESPOND I shot my first gun today i shot a ruger mark2 .22 cal handgun. Is this the same amount of blowback. or is it more blowback because the range i go to has this exact gun. ,thank you

  • @ActionPacMen being the same caliber, i believe it would have less recoil in a ar then a handgun

  • due you know if there is a 7.62x39 upper for that gun

  • Well to all the people asking why not just buy the Real AR. The best thing about the .22 is you can buy 500 rounds for $20.00 vs $200.00-$400.00 so that is the biggest incentive.

  • A little tip. If you are going to do a video showcasing a gun, don't do it while people are shooting nearby...

"blah blah polymer stock *BANG* normal AR-15 pistol grip *BANG BANG*"

    Get's a little annoying after a bit.

  • Just bought one for Christmas for 9 year old son he loves it..you can convert this to. .223 for four hundred and change at the s&w website..

Check out my sons video his is camo and I paid 420 dollars through Midwest gun exchange

  • kind of a waist of money

  • thumbs up if you turned the volume all the way up when you have head phones on right before the guy in the backround shot

  • i had my headphones in, noise cancelling ones, volume pretty loud, and the gunshot @ 0:44 scared the shit out of me.

  • This gun is worth it!! Just buy the newest M&P

  • @scruggs7 use federal ammunition it works way better

  • Honestly, it'd be more worth your time to buy a ruger 10/22 and tacticool it up. Then you can save up and buy a real AR-15 or an M&P 15 .223

  • Do you know of any(if there are) .22 WMR ar 15s?

  • @TheAlexagius

    I have never seen one

  • @TheAlexagius

Alexander Arms makes a 17HMR. AR if your looking for something bigger than a 22

  • @12mile88 Hmmmm. .17 isn't bigger than .22, unless you're talking about the price. The Alexander Arms .17 HMR is $1,175. Nice weapon though.

  • yea ima run wif the ruger

  • I'm a lefty too, and I'm getting one, do you have any problem with the shell eject hitting you, or is it a good distance away?

  • damn that thing has NO recoil

  • I have one that I've been shooting and having a blast with. My only question is I keep having ammo get caught in my magazine. I'm currently shooting Remington viper ammo and I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on a smoother loading ammunition.

    Cheers

  • Does it jam a lot?

  • i want one soooooo bad!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm looking to buy one of these and was asking for a rating from 1-10 it looks like a great firearm but is it worth it or shall I look for another AR?

  • @dukeANhammr I fired one of these before and the magazine slides in pretty easily. The only thing tho to the maker of the video do these jam a lot? Cuz the one I fired jammed multiple times.

  • @crackbaby1058

it is all about how you load the magazines

  • Watched video to see how easily the mag released and inserted... Only thing you didnt show

  • @dukeANhammr i just went to look at the s&w and the colt, not sure if its just the weapon they had for display but the s&w had a fairly easy mag release and insertion wasnt too bad.

the colt on the other hand, i had to practically yank out of the lower reciever... >.>

  • have this same gun

  • @darkdaisey1 I don't know much about guns but thinking of buying some kind of cheap auto.

I would like a full auto that uses 22LR.

Can it be converted to full auto?

  • is that an actual ar lower? that can have the upper changed out?

  • is the gun plastic or metal?

  • @crayzee133 Polymer.

  • Is it alright to use it for dear/bear hunting? At what range? Thanks

  • @legendmove yes . 22 pistols are great for bear hunting at medium to close range

  • Just bought mine!

  • Hows the trigger on that little dude?

  • I need lots of ammo to enjoy a good run and gun.

  • Love mine!!! :D

  • got one of these rifles recently. prolly the newer version with the extractor fixed. awesome plinking rifle and in a pinch can be the only thing standing between you and an attacker. bigger caliber may have more knockdown power but a .22 can kill just as quickly. and with minimal recoil chances are you wont be missing..

  • Is it safe to dry fire?

  • I got this for my first personal gun for my 16th birthday, I love it...

  • tradin my truck for one of these tomorrow

  • i have my smith and wesson 15t 5.56 eotech site pistol grip and a 100 round twin barrel mag

  • does the gun jam alot it is a .22

  • Fh*

  • Bought mine back in march, the mag pul version with threaded barrel and fb. Its the best of the "tactical" 22lr's!

  • these cost like $900 in the UK is that worth it ?

  • Comment removed

  • @DTHRocket

    can it breath fire?

    can it blend?

  • @GunWebsites hahahaha can it blend?

  • @DTHRocket No that's the semi-automatic version, which i have, it's a great gun.

  • @DTHRocket lol no ahaha even is m16's go the only models that could fire full auto was the A1 and A3 which was a variant on the A2 it would be cool though haha but I doubt the barrel could withstand full auto maybe burst

  • @DTHRocket actually it can be converted in to full auto by buying a speacial spring that goes somewhere im not gonna say cus it is illegal and it is a federal offence converting a semi auto rifle into full auto.

  • @DTHRocket If someone who actually wanted to have an AR in mil. spec. .223 or .5.45x39 purchased this gun it would cost $550+ to purchase a new upper receiver to allow .223 or 5.45x39 to be shot thow this weapon. Why not buy the .223 or 5.45x39 "real" AR and then decide. Same price in the end.

  • @DTHRocket if you mod it

  • @DTHRocket you can get a bump fire for it

  • @tjhooker18 Yeah I've learned a ton in the last few months. Little did I know back then that the cost difference between semi auto and full auto is like the cost difference between suborbital and orbital trajectories.

  • Wouldn't it be sweet if they made a 22 mag version. Then it would be a mini AR! :D

  • @Moonfood78 I call mine squirrel slayer :p

  • the gun shoots are loud

  • @chantz541 yes, good observation, gun shots are loud.

  • God those gunshots in the background ruin an otherwise good video

  • @ECCHOSIERRA

    I think they enhance it..

  • can be the best clone in 22lr of the AR15?

  • @lovingmyglock21 It's not a clone, it's modeled differanlty than the .223 MP 15's.

  • this gun is descent. I picked one up for 300 dollars, i wish i could at 150 but 300 is still a great price. I like it, it is very reliable and it is a great one to add to the collection.

  • I've been looking for this gun all over can I purchase it by retail

  • i have the same gun, but i have a real nice laser sight on mine.

  • I love this gun! It is accurate as hell and fun to shoot, almost no kick to it. One of the first guns I bought after leaving the navy :D

  • @McDangerously It's so fun to dump 25 rounds out in under 3 seconds! hahaha, yea it is great. I emptied a full mag accurately in like 3.35 seconds and all shots were on target, gotta love 22's! :D

  • I bought one of these used for 150 dollars, bought about 450 .22 rounds, went out to an abandoned quarry and set up some targets, had some fun for about 3 hours. first gun ever.

  • @killallianceftw

    great price, dang

Want to sell it to me for the same price? You can tell everyone how it was your gun when you see it in videos, lol !!

  • @killallianceftw where did you get it used thats a really good price

  • A .22 hitting a person anywhere would drop them in pain or death. Recently on the news here is GA a woman got out of her shower and a man was standing in the bathroom and told her to go to the bedroom and get all her jewelry . She came back with a Walther P22 and laid all 15 shots into the guy. Of course killed him but it goes to show you what a .22 can do.

  • Just (ONE) well place .22 would drop a person

  • I love this gun, I recently made a desposit on it and are going to pay the rest within a week when my paycheck comes in. What a good make by S&W!

  • I was thinking of either getting this or the ruger 10/22 and put an archangel stock on it. Can someone tell me a little info about either of them? Thanks

  • Man, I'm really itching to shoot my M&P haha.

  • .22lr are the more sadistec guns, why? becouse the bullets rarely will go through you, a literally surgeons or Dr.s will not be able to remove them, this bullets are tiny and will stick in to your system, i know people that claims to have bullets in their bodies, just becouse Dr didnt found them, they move inside you, if you're lucky you may live your entire live W/O complaints, but is they touched a liver or other organs man you will not last long....dont listen to me, i'm just saying

  • @raulromeropty

    First, it's sadistic, not sadistec.

Second, a .22lr bullet is not something that you would be shooting people with.

Third, it's the point of a good self defense bullet to expand and stop in a person, not usually to go through them, leaving a hole for them to bleed to death through before they stop attacking.

  • @AirGunReviewer

wrong. if someone intruded into my home, i WOULD be shooting someone with a .22lr hollow point.

25 of them to be exact.

Are you claiming you could take those shots and keep coming after me?

  • yes, they are standard size

  • @GunWebsites can the rail be taken off so i can have a regular M-16A2 handguard?

  • I bought this weapon, but I had it upgraded with a flash hider and folding sights.

I am hoping to upgrade to a red dot or holographic sight to replace mine.

Any ideas on where I can get quality sights, or other attachments?

  • @x82ndODSTx I just purchased the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 MOE and also purchased an Aimpoint PRO (Patrol Rifle Optic) red dot sight. Probably one of the best red dot sights you will find for the price. I think it was about $400.

  • i have the same gun but its the pistol version

  • Don't do a review on the range.

  • @daring72

    we have, it's called SERP..

but we are due for an update, thanks for the suggestion

  • @daring72 All depends on how busy it is and how close you are to the other guys. Mine are fine.

  • rod3067 yes it's 22lr :/ ...

  • so im looking to get either this gun or the Colt M4 .22. What would you guys recomend if im looking for durability and something that will be reliable, any opinions?

  • shit, there´s no recoil on that rifle!!!

  • @rod3067 Thats because it uses a 22. shell.

you clearly know nothing about firearms

  • @InjuryDrums34 i already commented that i´m new to firearms.

  • You dont have the one with the blue spring, you will be sending that back to smith before long.

  • @TheRickIRL .22 ammo is very cheaply made, you will find great variance in thickness of brass and this causes a lot of issues with certain rifles preferring certain brands of .22

  • just got one today =D

  • Do you still have to press the bolt release on the side to make the bolt go forward?

  • Great video. I have a question...

...why is this gun so inexpensive? they are cheaper then most hand guns imo

  • @Rohkus It's cheap because it is a 22! I own one of these little beasts they are a blast :)

  • i am thinking of getting one for $469.99 is that a good price

  • @mrexample99 ya thats a pretty good averave price

  • @mrexample99 Yes that is a good price. I paid the same price, And I doubt you will find one cheaper unless it is used.

  • I just got mine last month- I Love it! I've fired 300 rounds with no failure to eject at all (so far). The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) recently re-classified the 25 round mag as a "prohibited" device here in Canada since this mag is interchangeable with the M&P 15-22 pistol version. Here in Canada you can only load a maximum of 10 rounds in a pistol. It sucks big time but it's the law. I purchased some plastic 10 round restrictors from Tacticool22dotcom to fix the mag issue:-)

  • the good thing wit one of these you can just pop a few hundred rounds off and not really worry, can't wit a AR-15 without burning a hole in your wallet : )

  • I bet she's fun to shoot. Might have to get one at some point

  • can this gun be made into a bullpup configuration since the buffer tube is useless.

  • this gun could be made into a bullpup configuration since the buffer tube is useless

  • too bad its a 22

  • @RIPmreazye I see you know nothing about .22s.

  • will a magpul moe fit on the lower?

  • @fatbastrdslapu

yup, they even have one model with magpul from the factory

  • how much is that gun because im looking for a good 22 between $1500 or lower and i think i found it

  • @motokid12341 My brother got his for under 500 i am not sure the price on it. But you should have more then enough.

  • I own this rifle. I enjoy it alot. I have no problems with magazines jamming, or any cycle malfunction. I use CCI ammo. My 8 year old loves this rifle. A good learning weapon as well as fun for small game hunts and just trail hiking. Though it will never hold a candle to my AR, I still like it very much.

  • dont get me wrong .22s r cool to shoot but only for awhile...I've purchased one for my 12 year old a couple weeks ago...but now it just sits in my safe...he prefers my AK47 and M16..which is killing me in the wallet because ammo for .22 was so cheap...oh yeah im not claming to be an expert, does r your words....im 37 now and been shooting since i was about 9years old...and believe me theres always something new to learn about firearms and im still learning........GOODLUCK MR.(SUPER)JEREMY25

  • how much did that coast?

  • @hitman033198 roughly 250-350 maybe more depending on the site or store

  • Just got one last night, very nice, very light and very accurate right out of the box. Fired 50 rounds at indoor range, standing with stock sights about a 1 inch pattern. Very economical to shoot compared to my other guns. I'm sure my family will enjoy this gun on the range. Thanks for the video and review.

  • .22's r a joke......but ammo is really cheap to buy, but it gets pretty boring shooting a .22, it s like shooting a bb gun.....if u can afford it go with a .223 instead....NICE LOOKING RIFLE THOUGH....

  • @Titan9mm would you stand infront of a 22 mr.9mm?

  • @fourpointohh hahahaha.......instead of a .223? hell yeah, any day of the week.....dont be upset brother ur rifle still looks BAD_ASS....probably get one for my son when he turns 13.......

  • @Titan9mm Its not my vid haha, it is a dope looking piece. Im just saying a .22 will do work on a human... ever seen the movie casino lmao!

  • @fourpointohh hahaha....your right......luv that movie toooo....

  • @Titan9mm 22LR is good for varmint hunting. Why you need an AR lookalike for gophers is beyond me but It'd be damn fun. :P

  • @foist101 well the 25 round clip helps.

  • @Titan9mm .....you dont know how to appreciate the value of a real gun. the 22 is one of the most loved guns for people to ride around on strip jobs with where im from. (east. ky). from shooting snakes to rabbits or rats, squirrels, coyotes, you name it. 22's are one of the best calibers ever made. its nothing like shooting a bb gun. you obviously dont know much about guns. your prob a city slicker who hasnt shot many guns but thinks he knos everything about them

  • @SuperJeremy25 see how you like your ak when you wont be able to find bullets for it in 5 years..

  • @SuperJeremy25

I read a lot of stupid comments on videos.. and I mean A LOT.. and this has got to be one of the most stupid..

  • @Titan9mm 22 is the most popular cartridge in the world. Ask any REAL expert. mast if not all of them wiull tell you if they had to have ONE GUN ONLY, chances are they'd pick a .22. Don't believe it, go to gunblast.com. See what he says. And I don't know too many guys who have access to guns like he has.

Also, The Best Defense TV show guys all say the same thing. One gun to have? The .22.

  • @DonBeppo Your right!

  • @Titan9mm Thanks!

  • I want this gun but .22lr is so tiny...

  • if you have an fid that only allows up to 10 rounds mags is this gun still legal to buy since it has higher mags

  • @MAITZ95 they sell em at cabelas

  • I have the Magpul MOE versions of this little rifle and have been extremely impressed with it. This is doubly true considering that when I bought it it only cost me slightly more than a case of 5.56x45mm ammo ($465 out the door)! I've been using Federal's high velocity, copper plated hp ammo in the 550rd bulk box with almost perfect reliability. So far I've put 3 boxes (1650rds) through the rifle with only a handful of malfunction, all of which were ammo related. It's a superb little rifle!!!!

  • i have that its cool, but sometimes the clips jam.

  • @icekillertony

learn more and that will go away

  • @icekillertony Yeah, I don't think there is a .22 out there that has a mag that holds more than 10 rounds that doesn't jam.

  • @SilverstoneZED I have several 25 round mags. I can run 25 straight through at rapid fire with no problem.

  • @DonBeppo Cool. What brand of ammo? My little plinking rifle is a Remington 597 and it's pretty fussy I don't think I've ever gone through a 30 round mag with it jamming. . Makes a big difference what ammo I use. I'm definitely going to be picking one of these up.

  • @SilverstoneZED Win, Federal and a few others. No real cheapo stuff, though. But I should have added, when I first got the gun I had several misfeeds and a few times the extractor tore off the base of the cartridge. I sent it back to S&W and whatever they did to it, I haven't had a problem in well over a 1000 rounds, now. Good luck. It's a great gun, and VERY accurate.

  • "Your mil-spec!", no "Your mil-spec", "Your mom's mil-spec", "my dad could beat up your dad", "MIL-SPEC!"

  • Mil-Spec or not. A head-shot is a head-shot. ;) It's a nice rifle for sport/recreation, ammo is cheap, and it makes a great urban sniping rifle. (just kidding)

I placed a US Optics SN-4 w/ circle dot reticle on it and target aquisition is extremely fast at distances of up to 200 yds.

  • Sorry if this is has been covered but is the 25 round clip come with them or do you have to purchase it? I ask because I was looking at it on a site and it said it came with a 10 rd clip.

  • @accusynca Some come with the 25 round mags, depends on which state you buy it in. S&W sells them, though. And by the way, they are called MAGAZINES...MAGAZINES...NOT "clips"!

  • Those two shots after he talked bout the milspec stock scared the shit outta me

  • Jesus internet wars are so damn stupid

  • Can you explain what you mean by "mil-spec"in this context? Do you mean that it's built just like .22s that I'd find in the "Sandbox" being used by real "Operators" to shoot al-quieda squirrels and Taliban wabbits?

  • @rollmasterross

non-'tools' understand that is a description of the part, meaning a uniform size

You would almost seem witty, if you didn't look stupid more

  • @GunWebsites dude; no reason to be so sensitive. I'm just funnin' you about how over-used the term mil-spec is, and how its definition keeps getting broader for the sake of marketing. Chill-out...it's just friendly banter.

Try not to take yourself (especially your online-self) so seriously or you'll give us gun guys a bad name.

  • @rollmasterross

LOL .. you dropped a rude comment that was replied to.

I could care less how you perceive the term 'mil-spec' is used in marketing .. but nothing about your comment implied that was your intent

How about you get over yourself and quit being so sensitive to the replys to your comments ?

IMO the only ones giving anyone a 'bad name' here are the judgmental pricks who think they are "elite", and feel the need to scold / mock others who are pursuing their own interests

  • @GunWebsites Mock: Yes, Scold:No. So, for the mockery, I do apologize. It's clear that neither one of us should consider ourselves "elite." Now, since you brought it up, the term Mil-spec is originally used to denote standardization objectives by the DOD. See MIL-STD-961. This little .22 is more of a look-alike than mil-spec. I thought it would be important for folks to understand that, since the video is a product review. It's not even an AR15. So, is this mil-spec by the definition?

  • @rollmasterross

The rail.. did you even watch the video?

No one ever claimed this as a "mil-spec" rifle.. obviously, since there is no such thing

the rail is to standard.. ie Mil-Spec
