  • I wish we sounded that good!

  • We are doing this at our Middle School, also.

  • Our concert choir class is singing this for a memorial thing at school on Monday and for our Madrigal Feaste! I love this song and this group sounds great! (:

  • Compliments to the director. Junior High kids can do a lot more than they're oft given credit for if they're inspired and led properly. Obviously these were.

  • Can someone tell me who is the original composer of this song. I am trying to find out but I do not know who made it??? There are too many variations of this song.

  • @rickydepths1

This version is from Palestrina, the original composer. He has beautiful compositions from the 1500s.

  • Holy crap.

These guys are great for being so young.

  • were doing this for festival in 2 weeks

  • this is very good for a middle school choir...my high school is doing this song for our festival coming up. one thing this choir clearly didn't focus on though is their vowels.

  • Our high school chorus class did this song! This is a beautiful song done by a very talented choir! You guys sound amazing!

  • These are Junior High kids and they can hit that low note on Te the basses can? Impresive.

  • wow this is junior high......pretty good

  • I did this in Sixth grade. we managed to get ones at organizational. as well as a lollipop in class if we could translate the whole text correctly.....

  • We sang this my freshman year in Choraliers, along with magnifcat, we reicieved all 1's across the board..

  • we sang this in high school, i loved this piece

  • This is my FAVORITE song for our Madrigal feast. May I recommend that if your choir brings this back annually, take it at a slower tempo. The adoration in the piece is exemplified even more when it is slower. :) Otherwise, your sound is excellent.

  • im doing this song in Concert Choir at my school and I LOVE IT! its gonna be the prayer song at our Madrigal Feaste(:

  • Adoramus te, Christe,

    et benedicimus tibi,

    quia per sanctam crucem tuam

    redemisti mundum.

    Qui passus es pro nobis,

    Domine, Domine, miserere nobis.

  • Good job! Thanks for posting!

  • Love it. I actually prefer to hear this song a capella.

  • Awesome

  • @blahwhocares1 Cool. Why don't you take into the fact that this is a choir made up of 7th and 8th grade musicians.

  • Whoa - enjoyable but needs a bit taken off the tempo, eh?

  • i'm singing this is in choir. <333

  • @allisonhasshwagger -hell yeah! :-D (but we killed it)

  • I'm doing this song in choir.! This sounds amazing. I'm in junior high as well, and i didn't expect this song to sound this good.!

  • Cupcakedrumdrum: "Adoramus te" means "We adore (or worship) you." Christe, of course, refers to Jesus Christ.. So the song, in Latin, begins with theme, "Lord Jesus, we worship you."

  • what does adoramus te mean?

  • Our school did this, we are 9-12 choir, we did excellent, your pronunciation is off a bit, but it was still decent, and I would say all of those younger kids singing could be great once their voices mature

  • they also need to round their tones but it sounds good

  • fuck this is soo good omg really 7th and 8th they sound amazing

  • i did this song in choir. it was so fun!

  • I did this piece, we were awesome. I love this

  • im doing this in chorus class, its amazing so far i love it [=

  • do you go to kirk?

  • nope, pat-med high

but anyway, it is a really amazing song

  • Wow! This is truely a great version! Perhaps the greatest I've heard on youtube! Allthough they need to work on the pronounciation. But still fantastic!

  • Not bad for their age, there is obviously a lot of talent there. This is the best version I could find on youtube. They could work on their vowels more I think, to make them more pure. But very well done.

  • This is the best performance of Palastrina's "Adoramus te Christe" that I have ever heard.

  • Very talented group. My concert choir was going to sing this for Festival, but the director gave up. Our sopranos weren't the best.

  • We're a high school choir currently attempting to sing this song. This is a really good rendition of the song and I give you extreme props for doing this so well for a junior high choir. You're extremely talented and I encourage all of you to continue singing. <3

  • i had to do this song for my choir in my school. my teacher was assessing it

    nice song. good job

  • This actually is SATB, but there is way more SA than TB.

  • There probably aren't a ton of tenors and basses in 6th-8th grades.
