  • my quaker also loves having her tummy scratched hehe

  • Oh my goodness what a wonderful bird!!

  • Is the bird ok it sounds like he is hurt

  • @tinasdimples he sounds like he is hurt? can you tell me what part of the video in seconds you heard him being hurt?

  • @tinasdimples well it sounded like he was screeching in pain at the 27 second and a bit before i have a quaker and i've never heard that before im not saying hes hurt it sounds like it i dont know everything about quakers but im just wondering

  • @tinasdimples That was a bird in the background squawking, not this little guy.

  • @tinasdimples That was a happy scream

  • my dad taught me how to do it without hurting them. i even grew my nail to imitate the beak so he can see that i am not hurting him.

  • My little girl is only 5 months old and she is already toilet trained, comes on recall and allows me to turn her onto her back. I've found her to be a really fast learner, each "trick" only taking me a few days (i've only had her for 3 weeks). Now I want to teach her to swing upside down!!

  • He's not enjoying you tickling him,no offense but your jerking your bird off and you probably don't even know it.That's why he likes what your doing to him .Seriously,it might sound like I'm being funny but parrots have a strong sex drive.IF,they don't have a mate, your finger will become it's mate.I had a Lorikeet that use to hump the living crap out of my socks and slippers. There was no particular season, this little guy was on automatic all the time ! I have a video on my utube page(Ricky).CIO!

  • @demmylowther Thanks for you comment, but I know the difference. My wife and I run a parrot rescue (currently housing about 30 birds) and we are well aware of what it looks like when a bird is masturbating. We are also pretty familiar with Seymore's behavior, and trust me, this is not what he looks like when he is sexing himself!

  • @SilverPaladin2 i had a quaker for 13 years and that quaker loved it.

  • @demmylowther that would be the case if it was lower neck.

  • My Quaker loves to be tickled too.

  • I have a 'tiel who is a Velcro bird. My parakeets hate everything and everyone. :/

But we are teaching the tiel tricks

  • how did you train him to go on hi sback?

  • Oh he is precious <3 While working at the pet store, I came across and fell in love with a little blue quaker who barks and growls at people. So long in that madhouse, and he was convinced he was a dog XD. I love parrots. I have a cockatiel :)

  • I have a quaker and an indian ringneck.... I love my Quaker lol

  • So Cute! Adorable baby you have :)

  • my parrot hisses at me

  • cool! I had a 4 Parakeets they didn't do anything exept make a mess! One also died because it had a broken leg.

  • im not lucky my quarker hates me every time i near him he gets mad at me n i did nothing

  • He loves you! My conures are just like that!

  • my grandma bird he to be his to be bird so it cant fly rely i will tell you why

  • @cheatsyokoopa WHAT ?

  • MY GOODNESS!!! How on earth did you get him to flip like that?!!! My quaker loves having his head scratched, but hates being upside down!!!

  • @Snogrrrl my quaker is like dat 2

  • What a darling! I have a monk parakeet and I love him / her so much.

  • My quaker HATES lying on his back! How'd you get them to like it?

  • @Bluebird11235

Well, he didn't like it at first! But then after I started scratching his neck he decided that I was doing a good thing lol! Plus it's a big game with lots of excitement, right up his alley!

  • @SilverPaladin2 My quaker starts crying when i put her upside down but of course i always put my hand under otherwise she'd think i was ganna drop her.

  • @SilverPaladin2 I did the same thing with my quaker....now he just fluffs himself up and goes with it. They're so lovable!

  • i'm sorry for your loss.

  • my loss? Seymore is alive and just as much a stinker as ever!

  • @SilverPaladin2

I was responding to someone else who posted here who had lost their quaker. I have a quaker named Ripley. They are naughty birds but it is the acceptable kind of naughty.

  • lol i love the end kiss? pshh nah! its fury! i'll bite it! lol very cute

  • something like that requires alot of trust between the owner and the bird. Alots of handling from what I heard.

  • Too cute!

  • how do i teach my quaker to go on his back like urs did mine would just flip out i think haha

  • dont put them on there back

or rub there head that long they hate that

but they love there tummys tickled

  • i think that's just yours, mine loves getting head scratched, and being on her back!

  • Says who?!

My Cockatiel demanded scritches by banging her beak on my shoulder, fluffing up her head and neck feathers, with her eyes closed. When she had had enough, she'd move away.

My Quaker would fluff his head up, close his eyes and let me rub his head untill my fingers started cramping. He also loved having his belly tickled, but I was never allowed to touch under his wings.

My Sun Conure however, prefers to preen me.

  • you're funny!

  • as if! do you know anything about parrots?! scratching head is like there faveourite thing ever and with the on the back thing mine done it ever since i had it, somebirds like it some don't

  • lol.

    Thats just your quaker.

  • i wish i could scritch sophy like that

  • You could, just do it :) They love it, I promise! We have 3 quakers now we do it with all of them!

    hah awesome,

  • oh i do that all the time to my bird the first thing u did we do that all the time

  • I impressed I don't know how you got it to do that. Mine won't even let me groom it without a fight when molts and gets those hard white tips on it's feathers.

  • cute quaker. such a good boy

  • Aww..Lol When I Got My Quacker He Had RaN Or Flew From our Neighbors, and Two Our house, So they Let us Keep him, Yep. He Was Fond, and Protective of me. lol I Got him when i was 11, and he'd attack anyone that touched me and if i screamed or something lol.

  • my quaker would never let me hold her like that, because she would prick me, instantly!! how did u teach your to do that? give me some tips

  • Thats so very cute :)

How long did it take to train him?

    5 stars :D

  • I think maybe we had him for about 6 months before we could do this. We keep him flighted now and we are having to re-do all the training lol. they get bossy when they can fly away!

  • great video! 5 stars :D Your quaker must really trust you to just fall backwards when you say bang and know that you will catch him!

  • Smart birds

  • there a wonderful parrot to have as a pet, if one bonds with you, you have a friend for life

  • What a cute little birdy and his owners quite cute too!

  • heh, Nice quaker you got there.

  • Thanks! My wife did a great job of getting him comfortable with us mauling him! It does take a while, and we started off with doing the flip, then we started bang! (bang bang your dead!) and sometimes I can put him in the crook of my arm and get almost through rock-a-bye baby before he moves. it's really cute! Quakers Rock!

  • lol awh.. thats so adorable... hahahaha.. my quaker doesnt lay down like that on my hands.. it scares her.... the high five thing is cute :) it looks like hes really enjoying the scratching, haha, 5 stars :)
