out of all of the things this song has been put to this is by far the best
i have seen the school before it must have been the pride of the community when it was built many years ago but people move on an get greedy and dont appreciat what has served them so well it deserves to be a museum not a forgotten hero this school served the generation who is in the world now and they leave it for dead sadly this is happening everywere this could be a school again it could be many things if someone cares
I feel like this would be creepy, kinda cool maybe. But something that also might make people feel a little nostalgic because it used to be a place for children! o_o
well its definantly not beyond repair but it will be very expensive to do so. also for a building thats been abandoned for 30 plus years it doesn't look to bad. someday someone will probly do something with it. if it hasn't been done yet.
I went to school there for a year from 1970-1971. I was in the third grad, and Mrs. Natschie (sp?) was my teacher. I kept in contact with Mrs. Natschie for abot 5-6 yars after that. She took an interest in me as a stdent...a fery profound woman! She sparked my interest in learning. But as for this video, I don't recall a darn thing except the facade. There's nothing on the interior that's recognisable.
Hey if you like going through old abandoned places theres one in Cedar Rapids the old Farmstead Foods meatpacking plant me and my friends were in there before and after the floods the place is more fucked up now then it was before the flood check that place out you won't be disappointed.
There'sa school that's about in as bad of shape 1 mile from where I live, and there's plans to gut it and turn it into condos, so yes, there's hope for Lafayette.
I taped it from the outside, because just like your building, the condo developer went through, and found it was totally junk.
Anyway, just type in "Leominster carter building" if you want to see it. All the collapsed ceilings I shot is an indicator the floors are gone. Dunno if it'll ever get developed, might be demo'd.
My grandparents lived a few houses up on Colorado from this School. They passed away in 1982. It was shut down when they died. Must have been abanonded sometime between 1975-80
Cannot believe the City does not just condemn it, and bill the owner for demo costs.
I love old buildings what a shame to see this building in such poor condition. It could have been renovated at one time but its probably beyond repair now.
You have a real gift for photography! This video invokes all kinds of emotions. Although it was probably not too safe for you to be in there, I am glad you shared the inside of the school with us. Please post more videos! I think your work is amazing!
I too have always wanted to see the inside of that building. You're very brave for going inside. I'd be worried that one wrong step and I'd fall through the floor. It's a shame that the building was let go to waste and now it's a shame that city keeps it up as a massive eyesore in that neighborhood.
I just wanted to take some pics of the outside and as I walked around it I noticed that the front doors are not even locked or chained. I would be very careful if you go into this old school because it is in very bad shape. I only went on the first floor and part of the second. The floors are completly rotted in some parts. Thanks for watching

Has anybody else noticed that everything cool is in Iowa ive seen about 8 abondoned schools and a bunch of other cool stuff

Looks like the City now owns it. Looked up property map online for BlackHawk County Iowa.
I suppose asbestos was the reason it was never developed, and the reason any demo will be expensive
