@RBG4lif3 yeah thats broad term lot of people use to describe it, but this music evo lved out of a line of australian alternate rock, these guys were in number of australian rock bands prior, & at times their sound can get more aggressive than lot of other post rock stuff...

Although they have done a great deal of good music after this, I still find this album the most cohesive and transcendent piece of work they have ever done. I recommend buying it on vinyl, as the album sides have definite beginnings and ends, just as all good albums should, and used to. I bought this just after returning from a 10 day visit to Cumberland Island off of the coast of southern Georgia, and it's sounds reminded me of the sea I was so reluctant to leave behind.
