I remember phone booths...and dimes used get ya something...cool lighting...great Cray as usual....sent you one, the lights kinda reminded me of this one my wife and I just made..
Robert Cray is one hard working, give it all ya got awesome bluesman! Someone should've given him a towel, and he needs fans on both sides of the stage to keep him from spontaneously combusting! I was impressed by the bass man too, he's right on it, totally in the groove! Most excellent!!
I love this song and Cray in general but does anyone think he kinda looks like Craig Robinson the guy from Pineapple express and Hot tub time machine?
Best version?..I really dont know. Albert King recorded an album with this title in 84...it is Cray's song (so... a fantastic accolade) ... check out AK's version
Ever wonder where once great band members end up ? See the drummer here, Mr. Dave Olson ? I trained him on a CNC lathe at an automotive transmition factory in 2006 !!! Just A great person , with lots of memories.
@twostrokeornill1: Interesting to hear that... always wondered what become of Robert's first great band from when he first hit it big in the 1980s, esp. his wonderful bassist Richard Cousins.
That was F*cking phat, his wicked voice and the guitaring and bass slaps and the drums smashing away this song is the bomb and the keys too, everything was tight BRAVO
YEAH..seen him in Verona NY..dreadlocks and all...he was trying to accentuate with the new drummer throughout the set..great show...Bob did a lot of freeforming.......oh !!.......why the new lineup?..any clue>
No idea why the lineup change...Ive seen Robert about 40 times, but the last time Robert seemed even more funkier, and sounded even better if thats possible!!
Love him ,saw him last night in Hammond,Indiana, he was awesome!Wish it was my phone number scratched on that phone booth wall,he's even better live, still! The man's playing and voice just get better with age. Thanks for posting this! xx
Saw Robert Cray live once; he sounded just like on his cd's. Fantastic
