Brilliant! The battery looked like a lead acid job. I wonder what weight saving and increased endurance could be achieved with Lithium Polymer batteries like the RC model guys use?
Does anyone know the endurance of the setup? (my German is not that good)
It seems that in the meantime that project called "E-Lift" got some technical updates. The battery is made of 14 Lithium-polymer cells with a charge of 41 Ah. Its supposed to reach an altitude of 1200m with a climbrate of approx. 1.8 m/s. Engine runtime shall be around 11 minutes.
Here we go again. Back in the twenties & thirties the krauts where getting involved with light gliders and look what happened. There at it again...As they say 3's a charm..as in WW3
wie lange ist die batterie auf diesem gehrat? Ich habe leute hier in America die sehr intresiert sind fur das tzu haben. die leute hie haben das niehmals gesehen. Endschuldigun aber mein deutsch schreiben ist scheiss haha. Sprechen its fiel einfacher.
can some one translate where he got the engine from ? i can understand most of it but not one of the most important parts where is the engine from ? where did he take the engine from what type of vehicle.?
i've always been thinking about a small electric motor on the back of the glider, lightweight solar panels in the wings, and rechargeable Li-ion battery packs worn on the back of the pilot.
I knew it.. the Huns are still doing mind probing experiments.knew I was nt PRANOID!! Hide they r coming for u 2. Dam Satellites. Huns stole mind Probing from the Russkies n trade for hitler..Hide in your basement & cover your head with copper foil. line the wall with aluminum. pull out all teeth that have fillings. RUN DO IT NOW BIG BROTHER IS ON 2u. excuse me while I get my Meds..Some1 at the dr g2g.. PS LMAO you should still try 2 make it u can do better never give up. have a Parniod day
would it put too much weight on the glider if one puts light and flexible solar panels on topside of the hang glider's wings? This way, pne could charge the motor mid-flight.
It would be great if the person who posted this video could tell us all where it can be obtained. Maybe this is just a prototype. My German isn't good enough to undertnad what they're saying
Very cool. The prop tips sound the same but its a start.I'm waiting for a really smart guy to sound dampen large RC electric jet motors for this purpose.Thin film photo-voltaics on a rigid wing? Why not.

According to him the battery has a charge of 31 Ah and that it is enough for 15 minutes.
