  • About the best rendition Art ever did of that song.

  • Ik was toen pas 9 jaar, maar kan me het nog herinneren als de dag van gister!

  • Even after 16 years I get the same feeling as I had standing there.

There was no beter place to be then in Arnhem.

    Peace, Marcus

  • Too bad they took away the good Q of this song and video;-(

  • Fabulous concert! I wish they would release it on CD

  • @DunardNZ

There is no official DVD. Or CD. But I know there is the bootleg DVD. It is made of SAT-rip. You can search "World Liberty Concert".

  • Never was a song more fitting then this one right under the John Frost bridge in Arnhem Netherlands, the bridge to far !

  • I was here too. Helped building for the concert back in 1995

  • I was there. It was magical.

  • Great song!!

  • What memories!!!!!!

I am still in love after 30 years!!!!

  • I wish I could interview this band

  • " Hold until relieved!"

  • Es increible la calidad que muestran estos grandes artistas de todos los tiempos. Alan Parsons, Andrew Powell, Ian Bairnson , Art Garfunkel, Wet wet wet; por mencionar a algunos. Mil gracias por publicar este bello momento.

  • You put Wet Wet Wet on a par with Simon and Garfunkel?

  • You deny wet wet wet attending and preforming at this concert?

  • The most beautiful moment of the song is when Ian Bairnson (the guitarist of The Alan Parsons Project) smiles to Art Gurfunkel (2' 56"). I really liked that.

  • @Fernandocatan The most beautiful moment of the song is when it's begin.

  • the audio doesnt match up...

  • agreed. it could've (the video) been way better if the sound and picture matched up.

  • phantastic...

  • BLOODY fanstastic performance

Best Bridge Over Troubled Water sounds ever

  • Can't someone post the video of Garfunkel performing on LARRY KING LIVE in 2001 (November)? Now THAT was an unbelievable performance!

  • Yeah, seriously, does anyone have that performance? This is my favorite "Art" song although it's not written by him.

  • Thank you SO much for posting this!

I was actually there that evening, and for me, this was the highlight of the concert. Very emotional as well, I remember I cried like a baby when Art started singing, hehe...

50 years after the (Dutch) ending of World War 2, this concert at the foot of that famous bridge was a once in a lifetime experience. I'm glad I was there!

Thanks again for bringing a happy tear to my eye :-)

  • Great performance, damn that guy could sing. Does anyone remember about 10 years ago there was a benefit on Television with tons of famous bands and Garfunkel sang this song with just the piano. I can't find that video anywhere. It was a worldwide thing I believe.

  • Are you talking about the Prince's Trust Concert? I have that on video someplace. I didn't think he was going to hit the high notes, but he did, and apparently effortlessly. It was just amazing. Unfortunately I have no clue how to transfer my videos to the computer or what to do with them to get them on Youtube.

  • I don't think that was it, because that was back in the late 80's right? This was within the last 10 years, and I think Enya played for it also. It wasn't so much a concert as some sort of benefit on T.V. Can't remember what it was.

  • Alright, I think I found out which performance it was. It was back in 2002 and it was a 911 benefit on Larry King. Garfunkel sang this song, and I remember it was great and really stripped down. Does anyone have it?

  • Strange, I didn't like this performance at first, but it grew on me.

  • something happened to artie's voice between 1988 and 1995, it got alitle raspy. He still sounds great today, but not quite the same.

  • not bad. when was this concert? he looks like he's maybe 50 and his voice is still good

  • this concert was in 1995, 8 may in Anthem (Holland)

  • @webpacopi

    dat was 5 mei !!!

  • Maravilloso tema.Maravillosa voz.

    Gracias por subirlo Paco.

    Besos
