  • Now,,now,,sounds like white boy jes coverin/ defendin his white boy hero ( JM )..Well this ' brown boy gonna cover n defend his brown boy hero ( CS )...there case closed..O by the way they BOTH KIK ASSSSS !! SpYdEr..

  • Why does McLaughlin even bother playing with Santana. Santana has been playing nothing but the same blues licks and minor modes over and over since 1968. He's basically a celebrity who plays the guitar. McLaughlin might as well hand a guitar to Tom Cruise and "jam" with him.

  • @tonyzaret Maybe Mac is sadistic and likes to rip Santana to shreds just because he can do it without Santana noticing!!!! ha ha ha!!

  • very nice!I think the guitar of John is very low Conversely Carlos who is the god ............ randomized; I think not

  • one thing is a good guitarrist....another thing is to be gifted and outstanding.

  • very good version of Somewhere in heaven, thanks for posting

  • i really dont know what carlos santana has been doing with the greatest stars for the past 20 years.he is poor ,very poor as a guitarrist.it is maybe his manager or the money he has made,i dont know, can someone explain that to me???

  • @jucamo007 you don't seem to know of who you're talking about, that's kinda pathetic. you can stop asking peole i think

  • @dreecechaves .......he looks intimidated in the scenario.always.

he is a good guitarrist, but that´s it...the point is that he shouldn´t be performing with such a gifted musicians like mclaughlin, paco de lucia,ceraTi,etc...they are too much for him.sorry, truth hurts.

  • @jucamo007 i do not see where he seems intimidated tbh, i saw shitloads of Santana's videos, and he looks fine here. he is not intimidated at all, he merely lets his scene partners shine, and i think that deserves a lot of respect. Anyway, no matter what you think, he played with all that gifted musicians years ago, and i'm glad people's opinions won't change that. Viva Santana!

  • @dreecechaves he´s just ok.last word.

  • @jucamo007 you have the right to have such an opinion, even if i don't agree

  • @jucamo007

Your attitude sucks and whatever aesthetic theory you are using to gauge artistic merit is pathetic. Sorry, truth hurts. Grow up.

  • @willmercury ....I ain´t need to grow up believe me,now, santana is just a chain of repetitive licks that any college graduated in music can play easily.he maybe a very spiritual and nice person,(his ego is in the skies, though)but musically speaking he leaves a lot to wish.he doesn´t play anything else, just rock!,does it make him -gifted-or -a monster-..I don´t think so

  • @jucamo007 Agreed (even thought I like a lot of his work); you don't need to grow up - he is the one who should. He hasn't been evolving as a player - actually, his playing has been getting worse and worse. evolving Fortunately, things have been changing - there ale lots of gifted young musicans who are not afraid of hard work.

  • @jucamo007 Back in 1966 Carlos and Gregg Rolie formed SANTANA .In 1968 the Band recorded an album which by any standards was poor. After playing in Woodstock August 1969 they recorded what is now called Santana,a LP which stayed in the charts for 2 years, and sold in USA only 2 millions. Then there was Abraxas...Herman Hesse--The Album which sold even more, and there is this song which the Band and the producer did not want to be included.Samba Pa Ti.Carlos insisted. And won.

  • Carlos in tiedye and John in white!

    priceless

  • I'm getting very sick of non-musical infants and imbeciles dissing Santana. 1). Why are tuning in if you are predisposed to dislike it? 2). As a guitarist of over 20 years associated with musicians of the highest caliber (I won't dignify the haters by name-dropping), you don't know what you're talking about. 3). Shut the fuck up and learn to listen and practice your wanking out of ear-shot...

  • Great trade off. Though good ol Carlos seems to be slightly inhibited by his Johnness.

  • No, I meant SANTANA IS SO FUCKING OVERRATED!

  • @dajnoch that song "smooth" is overrated. but the actual good early santana? that is UNDERATED. when someone my age thinks about santana, they think of the song "smooth" which isn't very santana-like at all. you should learn to appreciate all the santana songs before judging him that way

  • One thing learned here is.Be prepared for an assault.Know what you are talking about.Be a jester and know when to say goodbye.

  • You mean underrated,Thank´s for this,with John.

  • carlos santana is so overrated :P

  • @dajnoch Will not work because you have tried but have alienated

  • Etrange ! ... Carlos tourne le dos à John McLaughlin pendant tout son solo ! mais j'ai aussi le sentiment qu'il n'y a rien de négatif dans cette attitude ...
