First off, it says there is only one almighty (God, Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah, etc.) Secondly, it states that all the prophets are to be held of high regard. Including Jesus, and in mecca there is a memorial for Jesus. Third, anything stated in the bible is also stated in the Quran. Idd, het is niet geweten of de oude-Egyptenaren Europide waren of niet. Ik betwijfel dit zeer sterk, en daar heb ik zo mijn redenen voor. Zeer wrs was de Egyptische beschaving, net als de Kretenzische beschaving van Aziatische oorsprong. Dit kan je afleiden uit de religie.

Het is de interactie tss de verschillende culturen die heeft gezorgd voor ontwikkeling en technogolie.
De kruistochten hebben er bv. voor gezorgd dat de kennis die de islam had vewerft in het Westen terecht kwam. De handelskaravanen naar het oosten (China, India, Midden-Oosten enz) hebben ervoor gezorgd dat kennis werd verspreidt.
De landen in Afrika en Latijns-Amerika (ondanks dat men daar ook 'hoge' culturen had) hadden die interactie veel minder (pas tijdens de kolonisatie).

De Koran verplichte de moslims om hun kennis steeds verder uit te breiden. Ze namen o.a. kennis over van Griekse wetenschappers en filosofen. Die kennis zou zonder de islam nooit in West-Europa geraakt zijn. Zonder de islam zou deze kennis verloren gegaan zijn.
Het is gewoon een feit dat het Westen veel kennis heeft overgenomen uit de Arabische cultuur. U hebt het daar moeilijk mee, maar dit valt niet te ontkennen ;).

Zonder de Islam? De filosofische werken waren hier meestal al gekend en waren er vaak kopijen in abdijen, verder was het Byzantijnse Rijk hoofzakelijk verantwoordelijk voor de aanvoer van classici.

De middeleeuwen waren voor Christelijk West-Europa donkere tijden, vandaar de naam 'Dark Ages'. Voor de Arabische gebieden echter was het een tijd van verlichting, en een tijd van ontwikkeling. Via de kruistochten is vele nieuwe kennis bij ons terechtgekomen.
U als 'islamhater' zal dit natuurlijk blijven ontkennen, maar dan ben je historisch incorrect bezig.

Te veel mensen hebben een verkeerd beeld van de middeleeuwen. Wnr ze het woord middeleeuwen horen denken ze aan mooie kastelen, ridders, princessen en draken. Ze zien die periode als een romantische periode, maar mensen met enige kennis weten wel beter.

Iedereen dom maakt regelmatig dt-fouten. Wat belangrijker is, is dat ik geen zin heb om ridders te zoeken tussen de duizenden vaak onbekende edellieden die de titel draagden in de periode van circa 1100 tot 1500 waar de hoofse riddermoraal gelde. Wat nog belangrijker is, is dat in 400 jaar, het banaal belachelijk van u is, om niet te geloven dat er in die grote periode geen nobele ridders bestonden. Zoals ik al zei. Zelfhaat.
