this was also made in part by the leaders of the diablo 2 team, and i recently learned that the team that made diablo 2 (blizzard north) was disbanded, the studio might be alive still, but the original team is gone for the most part, which , makes me sad face, and somewhat worried about diablo 3, but I'm hopeful

yes. basically this is how it went:

1 After DI and DIIBlizzard north builds DIII set with you exploring and fighting in devastated and bloodied Heaven.

2. Blizzard releases WoW, WoW sales are good, Blizzard cancels DIII and fires all Blizzard North employees.

3. Latter on blizzard "revives" D3, gives it to World of Warcraft development team and completely changes all ideas it had.

All authors of DI, D2 and original canceled D3 including the music composer are now iN Runic Games.

@Reliquish on pc games you can mod it and make it an entirely new experience where as on consoles u just cant do that u can get mods but the cant completly change the game like for COD WAW on the nazi zombies on consoles you only get those few maps and on pc you can get an entirely new map and im a console gamer like you but i like pc versions of that same game

@BladeStrikes calm down you sound like a 9 year old on his roid rage. while I do mostly play on pc you can't just limit yourself to it and say its better just because you don't have a console. ps3, 360, and pc all have their advantages and disadvantages. for example, you can only get killzone 3 on the ps3 and halo 3 on the 360. some games availabe for both consoles and pc are much better for console play (modern crapfare 2 for example) while team fortress 2 is better on the pc

Had this on the PC for some time. It's a great time-wasting game. It has many useful and nice additions that I'm sure we all miseed in Diablo 2. There is a chest that any character you have can open and get items, so you don't need mules, and you can load items into your pet's inventory and have it go sell the items in town.
