Such a beautiful song...I play this for friends who think German is an ugly language but have only ever heard Hitler speeches and Rammstein. Das Deutsch in diesem Lied ist sehr schön!
omg!!! how is this possible! i love so much like every song of oomph i don't know german, don't understand, make my own associations about the lyrics, then i watch the lyrics and DIE! it is never what i expect!!!
@DieRedo My sister, who knows no German whatsoever, can sing los by Rammstein better than I can. You dont need to know a language to sing it, you just need a voice and a will to sing :) Good luck
the intro, does anyone find it familiar? I think a similar riff was in a rammstein song or another band. but i can't put my finger on it. or maybe im just crazy.
There are some parts of this song (like being born "anew" instead of just being born, and wanting to breathe on your own) that makes me thing of it being about figuratively cutting away from your parents (yknow, "cutting the chord"); of a mother having to accept that their kids will eventually have a life on their own.
@brennendieRuinen no you idiot..it's clearly symbolic.."let me out tonight..i've been inside of you long enough"...it's about breaking free from servitude and pain
gr8 song~ i just wish Dero's voice wopuldn't trap itself in my head everytime i listened to Oomph! .... ive been singing this for days... and im a girl 0.o lol... Oomph! is the best~!
Woot new vid!! More from Oomph!! (I'm new to listening to the band but I love it)
You do awosme at translating and it helps me a lot with learning the language so I tank you! I gives you a hug through the computer and youtube :) *hug*
I'm pretty sure it's more of a metaphorical giving birth, but I still adore this song either way~

wow, before I looked at this I had guessed the song was a heart wrenching love or break up song. Not about being born or giving birth

You should make these for their old songs, like Ich Bin Du and songs of that time.

Anyway, it's a very beautiful, poetic song!

I can see how these guys heavily influenced Rammstein. They both kind of have that weird gory poetic musical style. I love it.

ya got one little typo, it's ATEM, not atme... for breathe. Still, WELL DONE!! Gut gemacht!!
bigwo56 1 year ago
@bigwo56 don't correct 'typos' if you're an idiot. 'to breathe' is 'atmen' in german. the video is correct.

gottspieler 8 months ago
@gottspieler could be both, it all depends on how you interpreted it yourself I suppose.
Addikted2love 7 months ago
@gottspieler no need to call him an idiot, you can look at it literally or figuratively, whatever floats your boat
literally it's quite obviously about giving birth, and the singer definitely plays that up on some of the live performances I watched
figuratively you can interpret it that way if you should so choose, just don't call other people idiots for looking at the actual words he says
