  • super light concept mazda mx5 miata ..youtube.com

  • Woww :D Me to Can make :P ^_^

  • since when can asians drive,,,?

  • @zachisballin94 Since they invented drifting.... :)

  • @zachisballin94

    idiot

  • @zachisballin94 lol. are you crazy? stay in your automatic cars driving only in a straight line, and let others drift..

  • Its a japanese car that side is the correct side. PERIOD.

  • he used the handbrake...

  • anyone else notice they wear wrestling shoes?? lol

  • all weight transfer and momentum control, what a boss

  • you are sitting on the passenger seat!!!!! thats why its difficult man! get on the correct seat and try again!

  • @UltiMogr JDM car, dumbass. Right hand drive, just like a R32, R33, R34, JDM EG-6, or any other Japanese car. The RIGHT side doesn't mean the WRONG side just because that's not how its done in America.

  • @sixstanger00 im not american, im european. and i also drive a japanese car but a left hand drive one.

  • @UltiMogr To my knowledge, European cars are also right handers, so even if you are in a left hand JDM, wI still don't see why you would call the "passenger side" the wrong side.

  • @sixstanger00 hmm no they are not. they are left handed all over the world except japan britain and cyprus

  • @UltiMogr Ireland & Australia too.

  • he say fucking miata i love mi supra hahaha

  • well yea its a new miata, lets see him do a 93 miata

  • @Fruitypuddinpops the new miatas are harder in some cases ive tried both 1st gen miata has no power that's the only problem, in the rain i would rather be in a NA then a NC

  • lol give him a damn bus and he'll manage to drift it.

  • mazda mx-5 has 115 hp

  • @nikg72 the first gen has 115hp. The ones in this vid have 160 hp

  • @cashmere7777 the blue ones are asics :)

  • no lsd???

  • @shadmonk Nope its a open diff im pretty sure

  • @sk8endorphin I don't know much about NC (doesn't peak my interest) but my NB has a Torsen LSD

  • @shadmonk what is LSD ?

  • @Kazekage5th limited slip differential. prevents from delivering all power to the one wheel.

  • @DjSuperSou1 oh thanks

  • @DjSuperSou1 so its a clutch ??

  • @Kazekage5th no not cluch. just google: limited slip differential and you will find all info you need.

  • @goodkill1 miatas have 50/50 weight dis already. Plus rotarys have insane up keep with all the gaskets.

  • @brodell20 it uses a twin cam fuel injected engine ..

  • it seems :)

but i think its Alpinestar not Puma

  • Wow a stock MX-5 would be really hard to drift well, impressive!

  • can anybody tell me whats the brand of this shoes??

  • @Cashmere7777 it seem to bo a puma shoes

  • @Cashmere7777 They are Asics Progear

  • @hardcoreaaron whats an asics ?

  • @Kazekage5th A clothing/shoe brand.

  • Comment removed

  • i believe it's harder because the automakers make the car to maintain control on the road and as we all know drifting is on the line of control and out of control.

  • If they want a harder challence they can try to drift a stock 90-93 1.6, its reeeeally hard with such little horsepower and torque

  • he's use to having more steering lock, alot more

  • I wanna see him drift that s15 they were talking about. . .

  • how come the americans that voice over japaneese shit are always so lame i feel lik imback in highschool watching natioal geographic or somthing when he tlks lol btw i am an american so im not some foreigner tlkn shit

  • The steering wheel is on the wrong side....

  • @dw237606 lol @ you. quit being american bud

  • FWD is Front Wheel Drive...not FR.

Yeah it looks more complicated stock lol

  • that guy is the king!

  • did he say nintendo ? :D

  • They all look like potheads.

  • at 0:30 why he hit the brake and throtle together,i think he hit the clutch too...or it is for keep the RPM?

    anyone can answer?

  • @valent1030

that's a driving technique call heel & toe.....

  • @ricky66666

    what is the function?

  • @valent1030 its heel/toe downshifting, its used to rev match the shifts so the car doesn't lurch when downshifting while braking the car at the same time

  • can this be done in a euro version with the 1.8l 128 hp engine without diff?

  • skills!

  • i keep playing 0:57 over and over

  • @ps2beck whats does he say ?

  • @kensei96

something similar to the pillsbury doughboy when he gets his tummy poked. try pressing it a couple times in a row

  • lllloooooooooooooooooool 1:43 sksioooooooo!

  • I mean yea.. Te clutch transfers power to rear diff

  • Jap stock maybe, theirs come with the upgraded suspension as standard. Unlike in the UK where you get the floppy stuff :/

  • Well, if there was one person who could drift in any car, it'd be Tsuchiya.

  • stock car means no mods done 2 it

  • Is is just me, or did none of them press the clutch when they pulled the handbrake? Wouldn't that be bad for the engine? I wouldn't think it would do much but slow you down a bit if you don't clutch. Am I wrong?

  • The clutch on a stock miata is softer than you might think. If there is anything going to break before the low tolerances of the engine bearings and such, it would be that they clutch wears out. If it were a highly modified engine and multiplate clutch that had a huge lockup factor, then yes, especially on wet pavement where friction of tire on road is low and thus lends itself to lock up. But with stock- not likely. excellent question though!

  • @YEApopcornBABY

not necessarily.. pulling the hand break causes the rear wheels to lock.

theres clutch kicking but thats different, kicking the clutch just upsets the chassis.

  • @JONRIEE so pretty mush the clutch just slips by itself when they pull the handbrake? makes sense

  • I think that 2nd gear is best for drifting in the mid-speeds. Like, go on the straightaway in 3rd and then shifting to 2nd around the curve while heel-toeing around it. :D

  • ???

  • wow, seeing tsuchiya in that miata really shows how short he really is :P

doesn't have anything to do with the video but it's funny to see how tall a person is without actually seeing them.

  • haha i love the japanese theyre fuckin crazy! lol

  • arabs are crazier, but crazier in a bad way

  • @mark675 what you think that fuckin crazy. japanese is just like drifting like me

  • @mark675 arabs are crazier drivers, but they're crazy to the point where its just stupid...so i like japanese drivers better :P

  • WEAK ANGLE DAISUKE!

  • Kazama should have got in there and showed Tsuchiya and Daisuke how to really shred :)

  • i dont know too much about drifting, but should`nt he step OFF the gass at 1:36, instead of stepping ON it? when he see that he wont make the drift.. (sorry for my english)

  • the entire point of drifting is to have the rear wheels go wide. you have to have wheel spin for this, hence mashing on the gas pedal. its even more essential considering the car. the mx-5 isn't putting down a whole lot of power.

  • this is because, you are looking no other video except with these three guys O.o

  • so all of the drivers in japan wear race suits shoes n gloves every where they go i havent seen a video of a driver not wearing his suit beside ken nomura n kechi

  • they wear them for the videos, not for going to the store

  • maybe but race suits and shoes are usually fair comfy

  • Some tech info :

    Mazda '06 MX-5 Miata (NC8CE)is a roadster with MZR I4 (inline, 4 cylinders) 2.0l engine, and

    FR drivetrain.

The RENESIS or R13B-MSP is property to the

    RX-8 (SE3P) and RX-7 (FC3S & FD3S) is using the R13BT engine and both are Rotary Engine.

The guy in Green suit and red coat is Kazama a.k.a wakuwaku-san, famous for his rodeo drifting.

  • LOL...he didn't say the mx5 was front wheel drive. FR stands for Front engine, Rear wheel drive. How about knowing what YOU'RE talking about, before calling other ppl names?

  • @mbh427 miatas are rw drive

  • @Reel785 Yea, thanks. That's what I said, read my comment. Plus, I own a miata myself.

  • @mbh427 get the facts right before you comment, mx5 has always been FR

  • @Mr1wd What are you even talking about? Learn to read and comprehend before making comments!

  • that other guy.. in that green suit with the red coat.. he's a drifter as well right?

I thought i saw him drifting in a silvia or rx7 once if im right..

  • ESO ES UNA VAINA BIEN

  • No, only a RX-7 and a RX-8 should have rotary engine's. Mazda's 160 BHP's 4-cilinder is enough for a relative cheap sportscar.

  • i would have to disagree, by removing the stock drivetrain from the miata and installing a roatary engine you wouldn't increase the value of the car. but i could see maintaining the car could become expensive.

  • @wise185 if your replace the engine with any engine including a 0 miles original miata engine from the same year and trim you would decrease the value of the car. personally I wouldn't buy a miata with a swapped 13b because it is someone's "toy" and people like to play with their toys so it would most likely have been abused.

  • @chadhotchilipeppers I'd rather put the rotary in the miata, more hp and less weight(unless you use the 13-b turboII). overall the less weight would improve the front to back weight ratio.

  • @goodkill1 " improve the front to back weight ratio." na1's hava a perfect 50/50. how do you improve that? i dont know about the newer ones. i do know my 93 though. and i wouldnt change a thing with it. only light mods and i can rip an occasional drift on dry pavement. and i mean light. coilovers, exhaust, and intake. plus 267,000 miles on it.

that said, the 13b requires to much firewall cutting and other various fabrications. it wouldnt be a practical install. thats why they never did.

  • @kennbe87 damnnnn 267k miles.. HOW GOOD DOES IT

  • Wow two of the coolest things... Drifting and Miata. The new miata should of had the 232 horsepowered Renesis Rotary 13B but 166 horses is all this car really needs anyways. Although gas milage could have been better.

  • @AkinaGod the new(post 2004?) miata has ugly rx8 fenders. personally i'd go with the 2001 miata with a custom 4 rotor ITB setup

  • @goodkill1 Nah, if i was going oldsckool miata it would be the NA. Lightest and easiest to mod/make faster. Even with a 2+ rotor engine. I was just saying for sales aspects the rotary should have been put into the newest mx-5. Probably wouldn't have increased sales much if at all but it would have been a way more fined tuned sports car out of the box.

  • @AkinaGod with all the negative misinformation out there about rotaries it would easily kill the miata market.

  • @goodkill1 perfect time for the rotary to make a come back then :D

  • @AkinaGod good enthusiasm

  • @AkinaGod ummmm. miatas don't have rotary engines.

  • @gabriel1812 Did you read the whole conversation or just come in at the end and assume what you did?

  • @AkinaGod nvm. i totally mis-read the comment. and no, i didnt read the entire conversation. oh, and I replied to the wrong person. oops
