  • they was a story in the 2000ad comic,

where robot run amuck in a theme park

killing every one, robot & machines can

go wrong, look that the judge dredd story

    "The Robot Wars"

  • There's a big difference between the audio-animatronic figures at Disneyland that go through pre-programmed movements and robots you could actually interact with like in this movie. Besides, nowadays, a "Westworld" theme park would all be in virtual reality.

  • i like the part when they have sex in the cowboy world

  • let me shoot robot yul.

  • RIP Michael

  • I love the way they gave Yul's eyes a cold, "steely" look.

  • "You talk to much.....YOU SAY SOMETHING BOY ??????

  • I think i saw this on TCM

  • The director looks like Peter Fonda in Futureworld (Westworld Sequel) 1976 movie.

  • And this is before he went on to work on a horrifying movie about another ill conceived theme park"Jurasic Park".

  • Is the narrator the voice actor for the "He Man" cartoon series?

  • @newguy33X If the narrator was Alan Oppenheimer (who played the Chief Supervisor in 'Westworld'), then yes it was.

  • @newguy33X Also to answer your question: Oppenhheimer played character parts on TV regularly, including once or twice in the role of Dr.Rudy Wells, the inventer of Bionics on 'The Six Million-Dollar Man' tv show. He also did many cartoon voices in mostly action oriented 70s cartoons.

  • 'Was he bothering you...?'

  • Sloppy with your drink.....

  • @jeffsdolphin He needs his Mama.....

  • Yul Brynner was bad ass in this movie. And creepy too. Whenever he was on foot and not wielding a gun he always walked with his hands on his belt. No matter what.

  • Yul is the original Terminator. James Cameron is an idea thief.

  • @smilingpug Concept thief, the whole back in time terminate john connor is original.

  • RIP Yul Brynner Michael Crichton

  • Robits?

  • B production movie can be masterpiece which this movie shows.Yul Briner has sparkling eyes in this movie and way he walk is robot himself.10 years before Schwartzeneger and Terminator.....

  • absolut cult film was damals zukumpft wahr ist doch schon bald wirklichkeit mir hatt der film als kind sehr gut gefallen top

  • Yul Brynner scared the crap out of me in this film

  • Auto tune in music, smart dust , cyborgs, organic transistors... these are telltale signs that WILL be rulers of humanity. TECHNOCRACY

  • @onedollarwill True. And what is really scary is they can't even make a damn decent operating system! lol

  • 3:55 Absolutely priceless scene. I love how in those few seconds the main character realizes 1) his friend is really dead, 2) this is no game anymore, and 3) he's next.

One of the all-time great sci-fi films.

  • Listen to Yule Brenner at 3:29 . "The closer he gets to killing, the more he starts feeling warm, and become more of a human being."

  • NASA is sending a robot to ISS on the last space shuttle mission this week STS-133 Discovery, should be interesting.

  • A sad reminder of Michael Crichton's brilliance.

  • Criton seemed like one of the coolest people on Earth!

  • Can you imagine a remake of this with today's special effects?

  • @hockeyspuds That would be sooo cool!! Who would play the parts today?? Give us your picks!!!

  • @hockeyspuds No!, They would kill it, like they have every other remake.

  • @hockeyspuds No I can't and a remake would be out of order! I'm now sick and tired of all the unethical untalented Hollywood writers bring up classics just for the sakes of CGI Dolby3D and Dolby cinema digital sound! Enough is enough!

I can watch the original in stereo played back in Dolby stereo pro-logic and its just as exciting.

  • i have the soundtrack. i love the chase music. sounds kinda like a cow mooing lol

  • iv got this movie. yul absolutely dominated this movie.

  • I remember seeing this movie when it first came out. It is a great piece of work. It also features and old western backlot that was destoryed a few years ago at Warner Brothers. Laramie Street, this was the location of those classic WB westerns that were shot there to include Lawman, Maverick, Sugarfoot, and Colt .45. I've got to see if I can get this on DVD !

  • Love those thick 1970's mustaches.

  • I love watching how movies are made - including this classic film. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow, how rare is this!! Where on Earth did you get this from?

  • @mistofoles Looks like it was shown on TCM as the watermark suggests, but yeah not on the DVD release I don't think. The usual shit...

  • Cut the robot power!

  • brilliant upload. love this movie.

  • We see Gunslinger getting toasted at the end and his final words…I’ll be back! LOL
