Hey guys, I have a friend, she's a woman, lives in Compton, in a two bedroom apartment with her three kids, she works two jobs, and doesn't make it home until 10 every night. She doesn't have health insurance.
I'd like you to, to walk up to her if you see her, and tell her to her face that you don't think she deserves healthcare and that she's lazy.
If she works two jobs she is probably well over the poverty line, which means she will not get free health insurance. She will now HAVE to purchase health insurance, which by the way, the premium will be just as high, and will continue to go higher. This bill does nothing to control healthcare costs, only people.

They have stated that if this health care reform passes, it will lead to massive Democractic victories, and maybe the end of the Republican Party. Fine, every other modern country has recognized that there needs to be a government infrastructure to deal with the exponentially growing cost of healthcare. With the current system, there is little incentive to keep costs low. We waste trillions of dollars on a defense budget that is anything but being used to adequately protect American citizens. If we spent a fraction of what is being spent to keep American soldiers in foreign countries to instead protect our borders and keep people alive...
Well considering that Obama is doing what he can to get us out of the middle east which was burning upwards of 600 billion dollars every year on a war that has prevented jack shit, I don't have as much of a problem when he chooses to money that is significantly smaller and try to reduce the cost of healthcare. We can't seem to make up our minds on what and how much to spend money on certain things.
